Happy New Year!

Mac, my younger cat, just went on red alert. He leapt to the top of his impromptu cat tree and stared out the window, his whole body stretched out. The streets are crowded with cars, people out celebrating the New Year, but he was watching the sky. There are several searchlights moving back and forth, I assume in connection with the holiday. It took Mac a while to accept the fact that he just couldn't catch those things. Poor baby.
