Late birthday, mail and car
A day late, but a very Happy Birthday to _nightelf nonetheless!
I got an absolutely lovely Christmas card in the mail today and such a sad ficlet about Sanzo, poor monk. Thank you cicer!
I'm getting used to getting such fun mail in the mailbox, argh, it'll be hard to kick off after the holidays :P
So I picked up my car this morning and the cost was... well, reasonable, I guess. It was the started which was messed up and it's the fault of the engine which is losing oil. The garage guy said I shouldn't do any more costs, since the engine is totally screwed up and it'll cost me more to get it completely replaced than if I should get a second hand car which drives better. It now starts perfectly, but drives even less than it did, with the steering wheel shaking slightly when I go over 60Km/hour. So I'm not feeling all that comfortable in it anymore. I think in January I won't have much other choice than to get another car :( I had hoped to get a new couch set, since this one is quite worn out, but I think that'll have to wait. Bugger.
Spent the entire morning (after getting my car) driving around my brother in law because he bought a car and we had to get the papers, get it registred, get insurance, get license plates and get the car. I left the house at 6.45am and was back home at 1pm, starving. I'm better now :P
Should get stuff ready for the post office, but I think it'll have to wait till next week, feeling a bit lazy and doubt I'll be able to get it done on time for when I have to go pick up Alby at school. Sorry people who are waiting for something (and yes, lopt, you told me to get you something, in that poll I recently posted, remember? :P).
