Dorm Poster
I am thinking about this poster for the door to my room. I've wanted this for sometime since I love opera and I think the picture is haunting and beautiful. The dreaming girl reminds me of myself since I'm always having these grand, elegant fantasies. *haha* If you know the story of the opera La Traviata than you realize the irony of the poster. The woman Violetta is not sleeping peacefully as it seems but dying of tuberculosis. The painter Rafal Olbinski is absolutely brilliant and I love all his works. He paints very clever and ironic images from opera and literature.
