I don't know if in your Lit essay you mentioned the dark nature of Hamlet, where darkness can represent yin, the feminine side of things. You could go on to describe how he longs to embody the bright yang aspects, or masculinity, like Fortinbras and even Laertes do, resulting in his admiration for them and dislike for women.
... I haven't READ your essay mind you, I just think mentioning yin and yang would be amusing. (Now you're going to remind me that they're spelled wrong or something).
