a la angelina

man my dog just beat me up :-(  well, it looks and feels that way anyway.  he hit my face with his head and he split my bottom lip open.

i know a lot of you may assume i'm just being hyperbolic and exaggerating with my conan challenges so how's about a few pics:

conan likes to jump.  fortunately he doesn't jump on the washing machine 24/7 like he used to, even though his purple frisbee is right behind the radio.

conan's happiest in the living room with people.  too bad he's not always calm and laying down in the living room.  fortunately he's not an avid couch jumper and he seems to have a pretty good idea he's not allowed on the couches

i spent two days stitching and sewing, making a makeshift doggy bed/crate liner thingy out of an old pillow and an old blanket and in less than 2 minutes conan reduced it to one fluffy mess.  i guess he's one of those dogs who don't lay on doggy beds instinctively.

the "look" i was sporting at work last week after conan jumped on me, knocking my glasses off my face and scratching my forehead.  he caught me by surprise.  i didn't need stitches but it's looking like a scar might remain *sigh*   great, that's just what i need, yet another thing to make my face look worse.  don't i have low enough self-esteem?

conan's most recent piece of work.  i guess that's the bottom lip preview of how i might look like if i ever got botox to try and look like angelina jolie :-P  yeah, i joke now but it does still hurt :-(

the story:

i was trying to make him stay and he jumped.  sucks cuz he's getting so much better with sit/stay, i can count to 20 and he'll stay... immediately after it happened i knew something was wrong cuz my face was throbbing and i knew for sure once i touched my lip and saw blood all over my hand.  *sigh*  seriously ever since i got conan i've started to look and feel like a domestic violence abuse victim.  oy im really beginning to think i need to shell out the $$$ so we can go to doggy school.  for the longest time he was in the living room/dining room refusing to go back to his room (garage).  then he laid on the floor refusing to get up looking all sad.  i felt so bad cuz i squirted him with cold water and tried to drag him back to his room and it didnt work.  dogs are like kids basically.  sometimes i wonder if i really should've started with a cat first cuz the cat to dog transition is easier than hamster to dog... jay chou is a 1 in the maintenance scale but conan is 110.  too big to pick up, i ended up semi-dragging, barracading, and tricking conan back to the garage.  my dad put up the dining room chairs as makeshift roadblocks and i kept pushing them towards the hallway, forcing conan to go backwards.  when we got close enough to the garage door he behaved like a good boy and allowed me to lead him back to his room.
