what's up with the rain?
i don't think there's any need for me to make an official confession or anything, we all know i'm a weather wimp :-P it was so nice and warm this morning, even til about 4 in the afternoon, then BAM rain! i guess the key copier guy can't bitch about how lousy the "drunken weathermen" are since they did get the weather report right this time, it's raining pretty generously. i just hope it won't get to the point where those flood watch warnings they've been talking about on the news have to go in full effect.
so what's new with conan? well, he was a really bad boy last night and i totally lost it. it was bad enough that i had my mom help me carry his crate outside where it is now getting soaked in the rain along with his squeaky football and whatever's left of his bone. sucks cuz he was soooo good when my brother and his kids were around. my brother likes him so much he wants to take him home. yea right like that's gonna happen, especially since my niece makes such a big commotion every time she's within sight of the dog, which only excites conan even more lol. anywho, conan kept acting up and didn't wanna go back inside after i let him out to "let's go hurry up" and all his misbehaving the past couple of days just caught up to me (that morning he nearly mauled me) that i said fine, you're not going inside ever... but after about an hour or so he started getting sick of the outside and started howling. my mom got scared that his noise would bother our neighbors that she told me to let him back in. i guess it did some good, conan totally behaved today for the most part...but then again i didn't try any leash training with him today on the part of my mom's doctor's appointment and errands. i'd like to think that part of it is because he spent a lot of time with my parents outside (non-native plant extractions) and i've been leaving the radio on while he's in his room to cope with the separation anxiety. i really want him to be an inside only dog with access to the entire house, and judging from his behavior in the living room i'm assuming that's what he wants too, but my mom won't let him, and he's got absolutely no chance of convincing her especially if he keeps misbehaving/acting the way he's been acting. i'm really hoping it's just the puppyhood. i have to keep reminding my parents and myself that we're pretty much dealing with a dog version of my nephew (mentally conan's got the mind of about an 8 or 10 year old and he weighs almost as much as kevin) but sometimes patience can only go so far ya know? especially if you've got claws and fangs chomping on your limbs. i'm taking him to the vet tomorrow for his free check-up and grooming. good cuz he's starting to get dirty and stinky rolling around the backyard all the time hahahaha. i hope he's got a clean bill of health *crosses fingers* oh yeah, i told my mom conan's song of the moment is ladytron's destroy everything you touch cuz well, he's got quite a destructive streak goin on right now hahaha.
