I should be studying

Wid, his bro, Ana, and I went to Jakarta for his Michigan's friend's wedding on Saturday. We came back last night. It's weird to go somewhere for such a short amount of time. We ate lots of good food because Ana's family is all about good foods. I swear I ate three days worth of food in less than two days.

We hung out at the mall most of the time because apparently that's all you can really do in Jakarta. When we arrived there, we ate noodles at a Indonesian noodles fast food place. I was really surprised by how organized and efficient was the whole operation. Only annoying thing was some dumbass middle-aged woman bumping into me without apologizing. Later we noticed the same woman was asking the person who gives out the food to add more chicken in her noodles. What is this? A warung?! Stupid biatch didn't seem to notice that the guy only passed the food to the customer and that he doesn't actually prepare the food. Bah! Anyway, the dishes we had there were really awesome and fresh. I wouldn't mind going there again next time I'm in Jakarta. :D

Saturday night was Wid's friend's wedding. The reception was actually quite classy and the food was surprisingly good. I think Wid's Michigan friends usually have weddings that are way classier than the typical Indonesian wedding. Also, there is booze... lots of it. I only had the Moscato because the red was Merlot and I don't like Merlot. They also had JD and Absolut Vadka which I didn't have either.

After the wedding the whole gang went to karaoke at Happy Puppy. For some reason Jeje was really impressed that we knew Dragostea din tei. That song didn't come over to Indo until end of last year or beginning of this year?! Even Wid's mom does her aerobics to that song. I guess I'll have to forever thank gally99 for introducing me to that song at AN05. XD We got home around 1:30 AM (2:30 AM Bali time) and ended up playing the Wii.

Sunday we had dimsum at Taipan. Good stuff and as always we all over ate. We did more shopping at Mangga Dua and Mal Kelapa Gading and then we were off to the airport. We didn't have time to go back to Ana's house to pick up a few stuff left at the house, so Ana's mom told us to stop by the side of the road to meet up with someone to pick up the stuff. We did that twice. First we got Ana's makeup bag. Then at another section of another road, we picked up a big box of cakes. It's funny people (including a cop) were looking at us suspiciously during the pick up.

Wid's bro's kids are so lucky. Their grandpa got them a Wii even though I still think they're too young to play the Wii. He then bought "them" (more like for Wid's bro XD) 30 Wii games and 10 for his son. At least now they won't ask us to bring our Wii over to their house and we don't have to worry about the kids breaking our Wii. If you see the kids' DS, you will know why.

I scored some swag at two of the video game/import toy stores. I even spotted two Wind Waker figures (Tetra and Aryll) that look like Lego knock offs, but I didn't buy them even though I love WW. The only Nintendo-related toys I ever see in Jakarta are Mario stuff so I was surprised to see the WW figures. I'll have to take some pics of my swag as well as some toys I've acquired in the past year.
