The story for my video game

I wrote this story based off of Sean's song "High Stakes, Deep Graves" and Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene, and I'm going to use it for the video game i'm making for my Senior Project. ;>

The Chronicles of Alekss Wrathe 1859-1882 (1969 - ? )

By Jakob Richardson

A vicious outlaw named Wrathe, who has fallen in love with the Sheriff’s daughter, Adeline, has called the sheriff out to a duel. The town has heard about the duel and all the shops’ windows have been boarded up, the streets deserted. Wrathe is seen at the end of the road, sun to his back, with his fist in the air, screaming for justice. The Sheriff walks into the street, his face stern, and stands to face the outlaw. Wrathe has pulled out his revolver, has aimed at the Sheriff, and is squeezing the trigger as a shot rings out and Wrathe is seen falling to the ground as a pool of blood forms underneath him. Adeline is seen behind him, holding a smoking revolver.
As Wrathe feels his soul falling from his body, he is filled with an uncontrollable rage and resentment for the Heavens. He feels that Fate has shortchanged and backstabbed him, so after 87 long years in Limbo his strong will, motivated by his utter loathing of the heavenly powers, thrusts himself from his captivity and returns to the world as a human-like abomination. He goes out on a search for his love Adeline, who by that time was long deceased, but he cannot realize this because his will and anger have clouded his mind for as long as he remains in the human world. He roams the countryside, mindlessly searching for his love, and because of his inhibited mind, brutally murders many people that he mistakes for the Sheriff that he believes should have been killed in their duel, except that Adeline interfered. This greatly confuses Wrathe, as he does not understand why his greatest love had, as he saw it, been controlled by his greatest enemy. Because he lacks the intelligence to pull himself away from this confusion, he transforms it into a burning rage and begins a massacre of policemen.
This calls him to the attention of the Government, i.e. FBI, CIA, and Military, the media (which is responsible for spreading news about him to the public), and Organized Crime, who benefit from his slaughter of cops as it draws attention and manpower away from their actions. For that reason, some crime families will attempt to recruit him to their side so that he can, for example, attack rival gangs, but some want him dead because of the possible risk that he would bring about a state of Martial Law, which would greatly inhibit their actions, or that he be recruited by a rival gang.
Wrathe is now pursued by the police, FBI, spies, special forces, the National Guard, mobsters, Mafioso, drug dealers, pimps, gangsters, bounty hunters, and many other unsavory characters. After months of fighting off these assailants, Wrathe comes across a young woman who seems strangely familiar to him. She is the great, great granddaughter of Adeline, named Vanessa. She has no knowledge of the love between her ancestor and Wrathe, and is reasonably frightened when Wrathe approaches her from the shadows. Although she was just 19, she was a black belt in Kung Fu, and always carried a magnum in her purse. As Wrathe approached, Vanessa withdrew the revolver from her purse, aimed, and pulled the trigger. As the bullet traveled into his shoulder, as no other was able to do since his rebirth, the red, ashy glow in his eyes was as if sucked into a dark void as his eyes grew an unholy black. As the bullet tore through the tissue in his shoulder, violent flames of the Inferno thrust themselves out of his wound, illuminating the alleyway as though it were day. Then, a shaft of the Light of the Fallen One formed around the cursed soul, drawing a crimson red line extending off into the universe, and then came a scream, an ungodly howl, so immense and ethereal that the world shook with fear. Then the light subsided, the flames diminished, until the only evidence of the bullet was the revolver filled with smoke and the dark red blood flowing from the wound.
So then Wrathe, seeing that Fate had once again played a cruel joke on him, that the only release he had from this world was to relive his death, hurried off into the night, clutching his shoulder. After recovering from his injury, Wrathe decides to pursue the descendant of his long-lost love in an attempt to find a way to return to his life from before, which is impossible. This is the point in the story at which the game begins, as Wrathe battles with his pursuers and Vanessa, and at times his pursuers fight each other when one gets in the other’s way. This provides for all the possible battles that might take place in versus mode, so that they do not conflict with the story.
