Keep the boredom at bay

Wow, work is really boring tonight. The next Zanies show doesn't start for over an hour so Angie and I just sit and try not to fall asleep. Dark chocolate covered espresso beans wouldn't be a good idea if I want to sleep at all tonight.

A woman with huge flaming red hair bought one ticket to Zanies. She had a coupon for buy one, get one -- however she only needed one ticket. At first I was like "Woah, hair. Go away." But then she handed me the coupon and said "I'm going to trust you that the next person who comes in to get tickets, you'll use my free one on them." What? Wow. That's one of the coolest things I've ever been asked to do! Then she asked if this place is haunted. Um. Yes. It's haunted by murdered dreams and destroyed hopes. What I actually explained to her is that there are employees who refuse to go into certain areas of the property alone, especially at night. I refuse to go in the tunnel at all if I can help it, whether the sun is out or not. But that's only because it smells terrible down there. About fifteen minutes later, another woman came in considering the play. She didn't want to spend forty bucks on a ticket, so I picked up the coupon and told her I can give her a comp Zanies ticket. She just has to buy two drinks. She was thrilled. See, we've got the Major League Gamers (NERD CONVENTION! I should go check it out... Maybe I'll find a date) and she is here with her son, but obviously doesn't give a crap about video games. Anyway, that was the most awesome of ways to make someones day.

So, in like three weeks I'll have 7 years of sobriety. God willing, that is. Hehe.

I went to yoga last week for Mother's Day with mom. Emily, Christina, Mary and Steff all went, too. I think I'm going tomorrow. For the three days following that first practice my body hurt in ways I didn't know were possible. Like I'd been hit by a truck and then put in a taffy puller. So I'm going to do it again! I've been jogging, too. This week was a little light on the jogging, but I've been pretty busy with sponsoring and work.

April felt more like May here in northern Illinois. May needs to have a good telling off about this cool weather.

Kind of sleepy so I need to go find something to keep me perked and awake.
