Lavender and camomile

Don't ask me what started it, but I've recently gotten on board with the idea of not using shampoo. Sounds weird, right? But I actually really like it. The concept isn't that you stop washing your hair completely, but rather quit using products that are full of chemicals. So I use baking soda to wash my hair and apple cider vinegar to rinse. I really want to "color" my hair but not dye it and I don't want to keep spending loads of money on things of that nature. Turns out using shampoo actually makes your hair greasier because it's so harsh that it forces your hair to overproduce it's natural oils. After two days of no shampoo my hair is not nearly as greasy in the morning. Granted, that's two days and I could have a nasty detox period, but I like the results so far and it's not much trouble. I'm also using a rinse of tea made from herbs like rosemary, lemon grass, camomile and lavender. That helps lighten the hair and keep it healthy. Totally odd change of pace, I know. I'm not giving up smoking though, so don't worry.

Work is totally frustrating mainly because reports are not reporting correctly. Nothing makes me more angry than math that won't work out right at 10:00 at night.

So now I'm drinking camomile tea with honey and I'm going to put some lavender oil on my stress points and be very glad I don't have to be there tomorrow.
