don't ever tell josh what he can't do.

I spent last night in a pathetic state of self-loathing until about 4:30am.

I woke up at 9am today surprisingly refreshed and for some reason, considerably positive.

Despite finding an abnormally good parking spot in Lot 1, I was still late to class but it didn't seem to matter.

Work was supposed to let me out at 5pm so that I could make it to the show on time. However, driving from Clarkston to 13 and Hayes is never an easy task during rush hour and I feared being late. I couldn't possibly ask to leave earlier, seeing as I work 12 hours a week; but my boss left early so I managed to scoot out at 4:45 - enabling me to arrive at the show early and warm up prior to playing.

Moments before we were suppose to begin, my foot-switch broke and perma-fucked my amp into distortion, which is not good if you've ever heard my band. I play pretty clean things sometimes. I looked over my shoulder to see Ben Wixson standing at the edge of the stage and jokingly inquired, "Hey dude, you got a foot-switch?" to which Ben replied, "Actually, yeah." How appropriate. That kid is blessed - even though he hates God.

I was extremely satisfied with not only how we played tonight, but with the crowd that showed up. I haven't felt this good about a show in a long time.

The Tiger's owned the Yankees. Cam and I predicted the events of the sixth inning. I called that we'd score 2 runs - Cam creeped me out by narrating Casey's at bat before it even happened. Here is an accurate transcription:

Cam: "Here's what's going to happen: Casey will lift his leg (almost on cue, Casey does this) and then loop one into right center" (Immediately after this statement - Casey slams the ball into right center field for an RBI. Cam and I look at each other in disbelief.)

I arrived home and as I unlocked my garage door, I noticed that I was drenched in moonlight. I looked up; our satellite was full.

All I can say, is that I haven't had this lucky of a day in a long, long time, and I'm going to cite the cause of said luck as the phase of the moon. I don't think that's irrational at all.

Go Tigers.
