2012 advice?
So, because I'm insane, I've started work on a collaboration story.
It's a sci-fi sort of story, but also sort of pulpy in flavor. It's not meant to be taken seriously, but I'd like it to be be well-done regardless. The idea is to construct it, eventually, into a graphic novel.
I don't want to give too much of it away, but I do want some ideas as to what society will be like in the beginning of 2012, according to you guys. How do you think society will be the same? How will it be different? To ask the geekier of my friends, what sorts of technologies do you think will be available to make daily life easier, or to cure illness? I suspect one of the things the book might get to is that people have gotten to depend on medication so much they can't fight an illness on their own anymore, so if something happens to the medical supply around the same time a biological disaster began to fall, we'd be doomed. Yay!
