A word on Faith

In light of recent spotlight on a certain church, the investigations into her funds management, and the rantings from people for and against the church, i appeal for all to take a step back and reflect.

We are all entitled to our own views. So am i.
But no, we should not go around screaming our beliefs while trying our best to knock down the arguements and beliefs of people from the other 'camp'.

What you believe in, is yours to keep. While you do not wish others to challenge your beliefs and to rock your world too much, neither should you attempt to do the same towards others. Do onto others what you would have others do onto you.

Yann Martel put it elegantly in "Life of Pi" when his character Pi Patel said this: "... people fail to realise that it is on the inside that God must be defended, not on the outside..."

If you believe in something strongly, then it really doesn't matter what others say, does it?

Some Almighty-higher-power up (or down) there gave us two ears and one mouth.
Seriously, talk less. There'd be much less trouble in the world if we all learned to keep our mouths shut more often.
And you have two ears. If you listened hard enough, you might hear the cries of the animals calling out to us just before they are slaughtered for their meat, the crying of children starving, the trees choking on mercury and lead, and many other problems that are real and not self-created.
