Japan never fails.
The first trip to Nagoya and Toyota City was eye-opening.
It was a bunch of fresh-faced students out on a fieldtrip together.
We were young, restless, reckless and easily impressed.
And we definitely drank too much alcohol.
Second trip built camraderie, friendships and a little something more.
And I learned so much more of myself, of who I am and what I really want.
It was euphoric, but it also hurt like hell.
The pain goes away, but the memory stays, like a scab you can never scratch away.
And the city of Tokyo beckoned once more.
Three great friends, one hotel room, countless fun.
And we all learned a bit more of each other.
This most recent trip is no different from the rest.
The onsen, autumn leaves, bamboo groves, eerie temples,
polite Japanese, metro human waves, fresh sushi, huddling around Oden stall...
All still the same.
