i know you already know how i feel this is perfect, but let me expand on that.
NIALL!!!!! he's just so niall throughout all of this-- unashamedly curious and unapologetic for what he wants and needs, but with a raw honesty and vulnerability that makes him so endearing, all the things that make the other boys respond to him so well. i'm so pleased that this was all his pov, that you were deliberate and careful and successful with that, because i cannot imagine it working SO well like this from another perspective.
HARRY AND LOUIS. this was a take on them that i honestly didn't expect! it's so easy to imagine/presume they get the gay party started (and much further along) before anyone else is pulled in, but in this ALL of them sort of slip through TOGETHER, and this is all the more wonderful for it. that precarious navigation when everything is uncertain and they're all trying to figure it out, it's blissfully beautiful; yet you manage to maintain their unique connection and just enough of louis' possessiveness/assertiveness about harry to indicate the difference, there. IT'S JUST SO LOVELY.

beyond all the perfect characterizations.. GOOD GOD the sex was so hot. i'm really happy it was harry, again, it's just so perfect, he's the most willing and the most relaxed about all of it (his yay arms for gay sex made me laugh, because of COURSE he would) and he's obviously (consciously or not) serving as the baseline for how they all progress through it, and ugh. it makes my heart hurt with how plausible this is?!
so yeah, if adult birthdays = the birthday kid brings fic to class instead of cupcakes, basically, EVERYONE WINS.

I'm so glad that this approach to Harry and Louis worked for you! Not gonna lie it was a challenge to figure out how to integrate the fact that they are both such jealous weirdos into a story where they had to share, so I'm pleased you bought it. When I started this originally I was thinking it would be more like Crush (With Eyeliner), the first GSF I wrote in bandom, but I definitely didn't want to just go into it with one relationship already in progress. Of course, then that meant I had to write a whole bunch more words. >:-o I'm still wondering about that for future OT5 stories. GOD, THEY'RE JUST SO MARRIED. /best complaint I've ever made in a fandom
YAY PORN! I'm pleased it was hot after all that build-up! Good grief, so many limbs to account for. I went back and forth with myself a lot on whether or not there should be fucking, but I convinced myself it made sense because of the whole what if they must be parted forever thing. Also, Harry, who is totally my favorite in the AU of this world where Niall is just a little bit less cute.
