and i'm pretty sure we kissed

sometimes i honestly wonder if, instead of a heart beating in my chest, i have a full-on drum kit. it would make sense of many, many things.

i was reminded of a song from an album tonight. well, it was going to be a seven inch, but it was never actually released. the song is called 'raid on entebbe,' the seven inch 'jack and faye.' it is four songs long, and it was recorded at the end of a period important for some of us. all four songs have an air of sadness and remorse that few things can touch on. i am glad that they exist, but i'm not entirely sure what to do with them, aside from listen.

we come back soon, right? there are many things that are going to happen in the course of the next two weeks, and i am happy about most of them. my essay? well, one paragraph is chiseled in the stone, and i'm pretty confident that the rest of it will just fall out of that one. i just hope i can plug the flow once it gets going. psh, if it keeps coming, i'll just write a senior essay while i'm at it.

but, anyway: rock and roll. i cannot believe that there was a significant period of time on this earth that people had to live without it. what else do you need?

i have one more concern this evening: idi amin's hands.
