(no subject)
so yesterday i managed to hit the pool... however this is such a family resort that while the pool is huge and has a vollyball net in the pool and a basketball net, and all sorts of other things...... the deepest it gets is 4'7"... so kids everywhere and not really much of a swimming pool. The hot tub is nice though.
I managed to take a little walk too. You can walk to universal from the hotel along their own path, or take the water taxi. I however haven't had a chance to go into the park yet.
Today was the first day of the show and it went off pretty well. I didn't have a lot to do, but there was enough to keep me busy enough. My call time tomorrow isn't too bad as call times go, and I don't know how long the day will actually go, but who knows. It might go pretty late. I finished today at about 8ish and snagged some free beer from the welcome party for Merck. Meh so many people they can't tell that I don't work there. It's kind of funny really. Anyone from the hotel could go get free beer and drinks and dinner, but I imagine most people are wary of doing that sort of thing. I'm fairly tired though, so I figured I'd call it an early night, get some rest, and be ready for tomorrow. I heard the weather in Toronto was especially crappy today. Suckers. Just kidding, I know I'll be in the thick of it when I get back. And as soon as I get back I know that I'll have to hunt down some more work and let people know that I'm available again, although a few days to wind down and relax would be nice, considering that I didn't really have much time off during the holidays.
I just have to make sure that I save enough money for the trip to hawaii. Boy I can't believe how much of the winter I'm going to manage to miss. It's amazing. And now that I've been bitten by the travel bug I'm already thinking about other trips. But one trip at a time. Who knows perhaps I can make it to the orient before too long.
