Crashed my bike, like a boss: Is it important to get more than one opinion from multiple LBSs?

(crosspost to bikes)

More like an idiot. Was out testing adjustments in the apartment parking lot. All I remember is dog, speedbump, ground. The walk back was fuzzy. Road rash on face and shoulder. No broken bones. Could have been way worse. No helmet, because I figured low speed, few obstacles. Bad timing overall. Blah.

Anyway. Taco-ed the front wheel badly. Is it important to get more than one opinion from multiple LBSs?

Guy at shop said new front wheel for sure. Quick check of frame and fork shows it's okay. Front dropouts are slightly out of alignment, "not enough to affect steering. Derailleur hanger bent; bike landed on drive side (and I landed on left side--go figure) Rear wheel visibly out of true. Wheels are stock Mavic Cosmos from model year 2005. ETA: 2005 Bianchi Giro. Aluminum, carbon forks and seatstays. 9-speed Shimano 105.

I'm trying to decide how much I want to spend. I was trying to get back into riding after a few years of scarce riding. That's going to be delayed a bit.
