10 little-known things about me

List 10 little known facts about yourself. Then choose 10 people to be tagged and write their names at the bottom of your list. Remember: no tagbacks!

1. I absolutely hate slugs.  I cannot look at them without my heart racing in fear.  I don't know why.  They make my skin crawl and I freeze in terror whenever I see one.  If there's a phobia for those little buggers, I've got it.

2. I keep my friends away from my family because in all honesty they're a stark raving mad group of people.  And they're slightly racist, xenophobic, homophobic, and excessively critical of anything they don't understand.  If you've never met my family, don't be offended.  I'm doing it for your own protection.

3. I speak with an English accent because of my tongue ring (I can annunciate words a thousandfold easier than speaking in an North American accent), and because I think it makes me sound sexier.  My normal voice is too nasal for my liking...I don't like the way it sounds.

4. I am not an Oreo, and despise being described as such.  Not all African Americans spring from the womb hardwired to speak like Jay-Z, Nas, or Snoop Dogg or are brought up wearing clothes that are 10 sizes too big.  Unbelievably to some, I was actually born in the 'hood (Queens, New York), but went to private school, where speaking proper English was taught to me.  I'm simply an African American man who was educated and raised the right way and never succumbed to the ignorance, poverty, and hopelessness that my other AA brothers and sisters have been trapped in for so long.

5. My older cousin Chris is my archenemy.  Sounds unnecessarily dramatic (and a tad corny), but it's true.  We used to be the best of friends, until we had a HUGE falling out years ago.  He's my complete opposite, in every way.  That's the best way that I can describe him.  You lot really wouldn't like him.

6. I've always wanted to be an actor.

7. My favorite thing to do in the whole world is dream.

8. I think a really good kiss is the best thing in existence.

9. I learned how to write by reading comic books as a kid.  Specifically, anything written by Chris Claremont, Frank Miller, Peter David, Alan Moore, and Warren Ellis.

10. The longest relationship that I've ever been in lasted a paltry 4 months.  I've always had to move away (because of the Army), or the woman I was involved with had to move away.

Tagging (even thought it won't be done):
