Co-Produce This!

May 15, 2006 01:40

So, apparently, I am now going to co-produce a documentary on female torture victims.

Seriously.

I was originally supposed to just be a camera man, a second unit camera man at that (!), but I guess my deucing skills have become legendary and I was asked to step up to the plate.

In all likelihood, this is due to the fact that I'm from the D.C. area, which is where the documentary will be filmed in June (the 22nd through 28th to be somewhat accurate).

The good news is that this film is being targeted to go to Sundance, so if it gets in, guess who has two thumbs and gets a nice little credit at the festival? THIS GUY.

That joke would work a lot better in person.

Anyway, aside from the free trip home, this really is a cake job in comparison to producing Thesis. I'm pretty much arranging equipment, checking on permits, and arranging some meetings. No sea creature make up, no skittish actors, no crew members wanting to kill each other (yet)....yup....I could learn to like this...

Also, I've gone through all of the second and half of the 3rd season of the Sopranos in the last four days. I've found an overwhelming urge to tell people to fuggehdaboutit on a regular basis. I think I need to take it easy...

It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.
