So went the second day of my summer week off:
I woke up at about 11:30. I started by finishing copying all my mp3s off my PC to CDs. This is the first step in wiping the drive on my desktop and setting it up again with Windows XP. I've got less mp3s than I thought-- seven CDs worth. I'm estimating here without checking, but I think that comes out to roughly 1000 (it's actually a little less than that, I'm pretty sure).
I fixed up my office real nice too, so now I have my calendar and my white board up, not to mention my full-length poster of the Enterprise. ^^
After that I called Justin up and we went to Warp 1, where I bought Marvel 1602 written by Neil Gaiman, which is basically a graphic novel about the Marvel Universe if it was set in Britain four hundred years ago. Pretty cool.
Justin mentioned there might be a spot open for a camping trip he and Lindsay are planning later this week. That would be fun, considering my camping plans for this week didn't get past the initial stages. It was pitched as a day of fire-roasted wieners, beer, and generally dissolute behaviour spent in the outdoors. I'll wait to hear if the opening stands.
I got some groceries on the way home and did a bit of house cleaning. Dicked around for a bit online (for some reason I want to write "duck" for the past form of "Dick(ing)"...odd). When Dean got home, I decided to make stirfry chicken and instant potatoes. They were both excellent. We finally decided to go rent "The Hills Have Eyes" only to learn that Blockbuster was out. So we ended up getting "Underworld: Evolution". Besides the pleasure of seeing Kate Beckinsale get naked, this movie didn't hold a candle up to the original. I was pretty disappointed.
All in all, a pretty good day.
My neck has been killing me these last couple days. It's been weeks since it's really bothered me. Annoying.
And now I'm relaxed enough to go to bed I think. Pretty tired, and it's a whole 'nother day of nothing to look forward to tomorrow.
Signing off!
