My dad and I took one of our cats to the vet today because she was sick and was having trouble breathing. We thought it might be some kind of virus or infection in her lungs, which she apprantly had at some point before we adopted her. We had an X-ray done and it turns out she had a tumor in her heart which was constricting her trachea to the size of a stirring straw. We had to put her down. She was only 2. We barely got to know her. I'm a wreck. I can't imagine how it's going to be when my 12 year-old kitty has to go.
