It's hard to believe that it's December already. 13 more days until fall term is over. 15 more days until my Christmas season starts. 23 more days until Christmas Eve up in Seattle. 31 more days until the new year. 39 more says until winter term begins.
December is such a crazy month. I have four "Christmases" this month, plus another "mini-Christmas," which I says half-counts because we each get a present. I know that I'm incredibly lucky to get so many gifts, but that's not what the Christmas season is about for me. It's about the old movies they show on TV, and the spirit of giving, and being wrapped tight in blankets in front of a fire. It's about family and tradition. Even if I didn't get a single present, Christmas would still be my favorite time of year. I just wish that Jeremy would realize that it's not about the material and more about the spiritual.
