bad meat...
not that i want to make a claim to my ineptitude, but man oh man... i am totally inept in the kitchen.
however, i think there were extenuating circumstances to my predicament - like my allergies where really bad last night and i was unable to smell the rancid chicken before i cooked it - but i digress...
so yesterday sucked. i went to the Toronto Reference Library to look up some grant information in the "CCP Canadian Directory to Foundations and Grants". i was unable to get the 18th edition, and i had to settle for the 17th (that hardly seems like a big deal, but trust me it is).
so i do my research and the time comes for me to photocopy. i am waiting for the machine, when this FUCKING OLD DUDE cuts me off in line to photocopy the 18th edition of the directory! he stole my book and my machine! i was furious... but he got his comeuppance. when i was leaving, i crumpled up a post-it note and flung it at his old, bald head. ha!
After the ordeal at the library, i wanted to make some comfort food to sooth my fried nerves (seeing as i was out of alcohol and recreational drugs). lo and behold - the meat was bad. needless to say that yesterday evening was not a pleasant one (aside from a nice phone conversation with my mom).
lesson learned? flinging paper at people is a good way to get your frustrations out, and i will no longer prepare my own food.
