This is something I've had sitting in my toolbox for a while. I made it in the winter and set it to one side because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it, but I do feel that it's unfinished. Give me advice!
There's no room to set anything in the centre, as the space is too small. I might be able to put resin in. I'll play with coloured water or something, see how it looks..
Ooh, or, make the middle Vish shape rough or bobbled like ostrich skin x loads? I'm not much of a fan of oxidized silver, I always think it looks better all bright.
I was thinking that if I were to oxidise it I would make sure I only made the inner parts actually black and have the edges and outer parts of the petals bright..
Oh yes, I like those! I have various bits of clock and watch pieces to play with..
Also, the roughness thing I'm not sure how I would do. I know how I would do it if I were to make it again, because I could texture the sheet before cutting it, but it might be too late on this piece. I'll probably make something similar again, though, and I'll try that.

Advice: Oxidize, polish, oxidize, polish, repeat then wax.
That should really bring out the shapes and contours.
