I'm published !!!
Thanks to ms. Maria Tirabassi my poem has been published in "Day Book for New Voices", a book written and edited by maria and her mother. thank you so much maria it really made my day when i was feeling down to get that in the mail. big kisses.

They come and go, these chess pieces of life.
Of course, the position of King
is none other than yours, master of your domain,
and the rooks, knights and pawns are taken by life's opposing pieces.
Theres always that piece that you can rely on though--
your shining beacon, the Queen to your King--
your ultimate protection in the darkness of night,
your true hope and faith.
I know my Queen and even though she can't always be directly by my side,
she continues to be my protector--
my shining beacon.
