There just ain't enough time in the day
One of the things I miss most about my time being intentionally unemployed is how much I was able to keep track of folks. In hindsight, I think I may have ended up spending almost as much time in the social interwebs while unemployed as I did gaming pre-parenthood. I miss that, though I probably indulged a little more than was valuable.
These days we've swung to the other extreme. Given the absurdly early hours we have to wake up in the morning, by the time the kidlet is down in the evenings, I'm lucky if I've got another half hour in me before bed myself. This is extremely frustrating. I value personal project and/or fun time very highly, and right now it's just gone. Whose idea was it to go and get a job again? XD
