Weekend
Since Thursday I have had a massive cold. Sadly this has meant that the whole diet thing only lasted 3 days before I ditched it to eat lots to fight oold. Cold gone in a record 3 days so obviously it worked, but feeling quite bad about the amount I have consumed this weekend. Ah well, can just get back on the horse.
Facebook is annoying me this morning, more "I am" posts than normal.
Went to Huddersfield on Saturday for a wibble about, came home early as was tired and ill. Yesterday we did a big house tidy and finally did all the laundry. There were about 6 homeless guys in the laundry drinking and chatting, but oddly they were not intimidating even a bit, just ignored everyone. Just shows you. After that it went haywire as had alcohol and chinese. Felt a bit sad in Fab cafe as although I know its time to leave Manchester me behind, for good, it still stays with me more than anywhere else I know.
Today I need to harass o2 (goody), possibly collect my boots from the cobblers, and find some more articles. Supervision was ok, they criticised the amount I had read (fair enough) and the structure of the first section (fair enough again, I was cutting and pasting paragraphs for ages trying to sort it out.). My task over the next 3 weeks is to bulk up my reading/references and sort out my structure. She actually wants me to complete this so it can be used in my thesis. Not bad considering its only 2 months in. Im getting intimidated by all these first years presenting papers and writing papers, not sure how they manage it. Then it occurred to me that almost all the PhD students are following on straight from undergrad and undergrad dissertation, so they already have a lot of ground work done, which makes more sense.
Mark got that money! So he can pay me back what he owes me with a bit extra as a thanks, we can move, pay rent up front so can save money, and go on hol! wooo! Im going to buy some underwear, get a wee tattoo and get a camcorder, I reckon, as well as commission a dress and buy a vintage corsellette for some acts.
In March, Im going Lboro tomorrow, gig in Leeds on Saturday, gonna go to Newcastle for some of that week, shoot in Burnley, next weekend shoot in Manchester, gig in Holmfirth and North West Burlesque Society! Thats full enough for me!
