Part XI Epilogue A Neverending Romance

Love is still in the air! The Marcellos stepped out on a hot date to see the production War Horse at the New London Theatre in London, England on Wednesday, calling his date "a wonderful lady.” The production is highly recommended but also the book. Elizabeth said the book made her want to see the production. Astorre says "the production makes me want to read the book."

Astorre Marcello straight off another nomination for Best Documentary will present at Cannes in May when we caught up with the producer he spoiled his next project. "Since there is an unauthorized biography that was eventually authorized by my father we're just going with a movie that will begin production early next year its been a labor of love for my mother and I to create a workable screenplay. We have no idea who will direct, or star in this but suffice it to say it won't be me. I'm just anxious to hear what people think of what we'll do. I am no longer in the brokerage business so my time will be split between the wineries and getting this film off the ground.
You seem to have balanced the media and your personal life. "Not always but we've gotten so much better. I remember what my father always said about fame and its a quote from the film 'we're only famous as long as the public allows us to be.'.
So what do your children say, when they see you on television? “ Look here’s Papa' "

It seems the Marcellos has become spokespeople not only for wine and film but perfume as well a few years ago, wife Elizabeth continued Brenda Barrett's assignment as Cartullo's front woman when she bowed out because of personal reasons. Mrs. Marcello recently began ads for Aqui di Ravelle eau de toilet.
Now Mr. Marcello after producing live theatre and a busy time on movie productions is the face of Attimo, the new men’s fragrance by Ferragamo. Marcello says he had been testing the fragrance for years and the scent captivated his wife, “which I like a lot, and so does the brand, perhaps the only one that still makes everything in Italy, even the cardboard boxes for its shoes.” A French publication reports a portion of their proceeds will be donated to their favorite charities Smile Train and Adopt a Bridge.

Its eleven months after Jason turned up at Piedmont Elizabeth never spoke anymore about it he's a sad man who not only disappointed her and her children but nearly ruined her twice when all is said and done he chose the mob and Samantha over their family at least that's how she interprets it. All the years they were together building a life repairing the damage after he put her last and stood her up in an airport he chooses to walk out on her in a courthouse with his unforgiveable no contact sanction.
Since she didn't speak anymore on the subject Astorre didn't either. They're in their bedroom going through magazines he's got the lap top searching they're trying to get a feel for responses to the pre screenings of her documentary Bridges. "Have you found anything? I don't see a single review. Now I know how Georgy felt."

"What about your exhibits?
"Umm this is different I paint for me." Her head rests on one of the peaks of muscle that rises out of his rock hard stomach. "But it does say here we're a power pairing," her eyes move upward...."What is a power pairing?"
"I have no idea; I'm sure they'll tell us."
"Ahhh... look a blind item. Rumors of philandering on the set by a very married man of three years with another Extra has re-surfaced and picking up steam. They have been spotted in out of the way scenarios in compromising positions. Ummm... then Danielle speaks, that she has a very good idea who it is and she's not surprised he's not the marrying kind. So it was only a matter of when, not if."
"She seems to know me better than I know myself, wonder when they'll figure it all out."
"I hope we can keep them chasing their tail for awhile this is just way too much fun; I'd like to string it as long as I can they're all waiting for me to divorce you."
"I love you too much you can't do that."
It was by sheer accident this whole thing got started Elizabeth was dressed unrecognizable as an extra in a restaurant scene in Reverie then she appeared in a few others and was caught kissing her husband and coming out of his trailer re-arranging her clothes is what got this gossip started as his other woman his mistress. She just went with it and assumed they would realize its her in disguise so far the press is being played she can't believe it and as much as she's been photographed the past few years they haven't been able to tell.
Astorre chuckles, "they won't like it."
"Hey not so fast, I've seen a couple of questionable ummm moments so if anything goes down I'm taking you to the cleaners.
"You already have."
"No I'm talking about taking the Bespoken shirt right off your back."
"Take the pants too. No how often can a man have his wife as his mistress the whole concept excites me."
Elizabeth repeats the opening quote of Reverie, "we're only famous as long as the public allows us to be," Alessandro Marcello.
Its special to Astorre because he can't recall hearing his father say it. According to his mother and their friends he said this throughout his life beginning when he was a teen hearthrob; Paola believes there must be a sound bite somewhere. Astore enjoys working on his father's film somehow its brought him to an entirely different level of respect. Working with his mother their fiends on this project, listening to stories something he never knew or was too young to remember. Phillip Glass is working on the sound track
"Its because of you," she says.
"It is from my parents."
"Its intense sometimes," she says.
"Yes it is but you and the children handle it beautifully."
"Mimi certainly basks in the limelight she's like a little diva. I keep waiting for her to put on sunglasses and say Darh..ling I vant to ve alone."
He fondles her curly hair splayed on his stomach her skin so white against his deep olive tan, "Have I told you how happy I've been. Have I shown you that?"
His hair is longer again, he wears the bottoms that Kate has made for three birthdays sort of like his martial arts pants he mentioned his dislike of pajamas and robes so at the opera she sketched out something on the program and they collaborated during intermission. And that's not all she's collaborated with she's worked with wardrobe on the film. He's so relaxed now even wearing those blue jeans he bought....probably bespoken for.
"Every minute of everyday Astorre, I love you so much and I try not to take for granted this charmed life but I do enjoy living with you and our life."
Over the last three years, "she's got her confidence back she doesn't think he'll come home one day and announce he'll leave her or maybe not bother to come home at all.He likes when she curls herself on top of him and kiss his chest down below his navel likes she's doing now, "I want to discuss your next production."

He finds comfort visiting them this way a cup of coffee on the terrace for a morning visit or a beer in the evening eating French fries. He broke it off with Sam McCall he told her they needed space some time out. He wanted to date other people he's been having coffee a few times a week with a nurse at General Hospital who's in med school, Nadine Cromwell. Even though he enjoys her company he feels guilty he gave up Elizabeth to keep their family safe yet he's around everyone else.
He's taken Robins' cousin Maxie Jones out for dinner a couple of times its platonic she spent time with Franco he had some questions for her. Franco has disappeared for awhile but sent him a letter promising his return soon. Maxi being a friend to Sam pleaded her case as best she could but Jason let her know he's not interested in a reconciliation at the moment. He realized how hard its been for the Quartermaines to see him with the woman that tried to steal their company. "And my house." added Monica.

{C}Maxi has been dating Dr. Matt Hunter and asked his advice, "you're asking the wrong guy about relationships." He couldn't help but laugh at the irony but it feels good getting out again away from the world of hijacked shipments, burning houses, shoot outs and alley stake outs that always seems to involve a dumpster.

A few days later Jason is in a private jet in route to LA on a lead to Franco he picks up a magazine something he's still reluctant to do.
When asked by InStyle Elizabeth Webber confirmed she and producer hubby Astorre Marcello will become parents together, in April baby completes the plan. “We are so in love, it is terribly exciting for our family." When asked if any names have been chosen. “We’ve decided Eden if it’s a girl we haven’t chosen a boy name yet.”
When the news first broke that she is expecting a baby. Elizabeth opened up after four years of marriage about their love story, the risqué pictures, including how they first met not the tabloid version.
"You always hear people say, 'I never thought this would be the person I would end up with,' but I don't think you ever really know," Webber, says in the May issue, on newsstands April 29.
Elizabeth has three children from a previous marriage, 12-year-old son Cameron, 6 year-old Jacob and 9-year-old Camille.
After all these years if he didn’t know it before she’s just confirmed she’s playing with him Eden is a name they chose if Jacob would’ve been a girl. They decided to name Mimi that at first but when Alan came up with Camille a way for Cameron to combine his name and Emily they just rolled with it. He thought she was above something like this but he hurt her thoroughly and taking back up with Sandra did him no favors. If only she would have waited longer gave him a chance to see for himself what a mistake he made. Instead, she divorced him after only six months and married Marcello four months later something he thought she’d never do, now, she’s having his baby. He closes the magazine picks up the phone, to call Nadine, she knows he’s still in love with Elizabeth and when she and Marcello split up he’s going to try to get her back.
They are on the same page she wants the same thing no entanglement she’s busy with her career and in school for now just keeping each other company she doesn't have much free time. He left a message when her voice mail kicked in, “I was wondering if you’d like to go out when I get back in a couple of days.”
Epilogue
Cameron became a financier he manages Marcello wineries, sits on the board of ELQ,The Brush and Chisel he also started a comic book there that he illustrates "The Last Hero." He is currently producing an animated version for Illusion productions. He splits his time between Piedmont, Corsica and Port Charles.
Camille broke her ankle in a skiing accident gave up ballet for good she is a full time concert pianist living with her boyfriend a songwriter on Le Pensione. However she has accepted an invitation to join Gustavo Maturén LA Philharmonic season she will be playing along side Herbie Hancock with an all-Gershwin program at Walt Disney Concert Hall afterwards. The concert begins with the iconic Tin Pan Alley composer's Cuban Overture and his beloved An American In Paris. Then to perform arguably Gershwin's most famous work, the jazz hued Rhapsody in Blue. The evening is being recorded for a future broadcast on PBS's "Great Performances" early the following year.
She will then return with him to Sweden to begin his fifth season as Music Director of the Gothenburg Symphony. He and the orchestra will open the season with performances of Mahler's Seventh Symphony in the winter at Gothenburg's Great Hall.
"I think he's in love with her," Astorre tells Elizabeth.
"Who?"
"That Maturén fellow by the end of these two seasons that boyfriend of hers will be nothing but a memory."
"You don't like him?"
"Well enough Elizabeth but I think Gustavo will pursue the hell out of her. He's already got her booked well into next year."
"Actually longer than that they'll be at Ravello's Chamber concerts with Davide and Renalto. He's a hot conductor
right now young, handsome.
"He's keeping her near him for over year away from that poor SOD at Le Pensione bags is as good as packed."
"I think he frightens her. Like when I fell in love witih you."
After attending Oxford Jacob manages Pierli Vinyard w/ his father Astorre, flys planes, rides motocycles an active outdoorsman he's fast becoming an international playboy.
Augustin G'ennis Marcello is an upcoming plastic surgeon for the stars and lives in Beverly Hills four months out of the year he travels with a surgical team performing cleft lip repairs for Smile Train.
Georgy still writes scripts and dates pianist Johnny Zaccharra. Dillon still directs movies for Illusion Productions he is still holds out for a second chance with Georgy.
Michael Corinthos Quartermaine is President of ELQ and is engaged to Angelica Angelique Diggs who is a runway model.
Morgan Corinthos took over his father's business.
Spencer Cassadine, a lawyer, lives in Greece helping his father with Cassadine enterprises.
Kate eventually married Xavier LaLanne after a decade long courtship. He bought in Illusion Productions as a partner. She's given up editor of Crimson magazine but still runs her design house and is recurring on Project Runway as a judge. Elizabeth was a guest who the contestants had to design beach wear going into evening.
She beamed "Oh my goodness Astorre I met Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Michael Kors. Not only that Hedi asked me to come back again can you believe it...I am truly starstruck. Not only that they already have the challenge design around some of my art isn't that fantastic." Unbeknownst to Elizabeth they have already prepared another challenge to include teams designing an outfit for her, Paola, Camille for the following season the challenge is to design three coordinating outfits for Mother, daughter and grandmother.
Cynthia Parrish bought out All Jokes Aside in Baltimore. She rekindled a little flame with Heveraux and they date each other as their time permits and he is backing a satellite club in New Orleans. I"ts just what we need to help the economy. Besides its too much competition in LA depending on how it does you should think about Canada."
Morgan, Augustin who is called Ennis the G is silent, Molly, even Krystina remain a close knit group. Morgan has a crush on Emma and so does Augustin despite their age difference.
Jason never regained a relationship with Cameron or Jacob only Mimi reached out to maintain a relationship. No longer an enforcer, Jason never left the mob world of Sonny Corinthos he's in his fifties now and in ill health. When he needed a transplant it took her along with Monica and Alan to convince Jacob into testing for a kidney transplant. Elizabeth tried to guide him to make the best decision for him. Honey you can't live with something like this on your plate for the rest of your life its not about Jason its about you, besides, you may not even be a match. He reluctantly agreed.
They're on the First Waltz its not unusual for Spencer to sail them around the Mediterranean. "Isn't there another Quartermaine that is a match why do I have to do this?" At twenty-four he is like his father in looks but very different in temperament. Jacob never forgave his father for walking out on him at five years old.
Michael is now trying to convince after he was informed by Jake Robin's tests results shows he's a perfect match, "I'm not a match says Michael Corinthos aboard First Waltz, "Grandfather can't because his kidney was weakened during his addiction to pain meds back int he 70s."
"Ned, Dillon and Brooklyn?" asks Jake his hair is no longer all blond which makes his blue eyes piercingly vivid. He runs his hands through long tendrils he's tanned, and like his stepfather, well dressed in fact all the Marcellos are.
"Nope they aren't either you're the only one Jake," replies Michael. At thirty-eight after a four year marriage ended in divorce he reconnected to his teenage sweetheart who was widowed five years ago. He asked Jake to be his best man since Jason is too sick he undergoes dialysis once a week."
Jacob asks Cameron, "Mother says I may regret it some day and despite what happened she didn't raise callous and heartless children; if you were a match would you do it?"
"Yeah and I'm asking you too not so much for him but Monica and Alan we can't do this to them they're up in age now with Tracey sick too it maybe too much for them. Cameron places his hand on his younger brother's shoulder. ... and in memory of Edward and Lila. Jake they've always been good to us." he says. "And that's all I have to say on the subject.".
"Ennis?"
"Jake as a doctor you know where I stand. I have to go with saving his life as long as its no risk to yours. I'm not just some upcoming plastic surgeon for the stars that's only a small part of my practice most of it is reconstructive surgery for impairments and disfigurements. Jake always found it strange it would become his handsome younger specialty. He's going to Africa with Drs. Robin and Emma Drake and Josslyn Jacks, a financier, who works at her father's company Jacks Enterprises. She donates time and money for their medical services.
Mimi tried but she isn't match. She was told at eighteen that she was adopted and Jason Morgan is not her father by Elizabeth and Astorre. Of course she told Cameron and Jacob immediately they were vacationing on Amalfi one of her favorite places. They both re-assured her she is their sister and always will be, "DNA means nothing look what happened to me and I am Jason's son by blood he abandoned me right along with you two." Then at sixteen Jacob was advanced for his years. They hugged and sat close until the sun came up. That next morning Scuzzy died she took his death so hard she forgot all about the old distress,
"We are bound by much more than blood and no one has to know if you don't want them to. We'll tell G'ennis later he's only six."
Years later, when Mimi got full of herself and confronted Elizabeth about the court battle with Sandra she wasn't prepared for her mother's wrath, "Look honey if you're standing here expecting an apology you'll be waiting forever. How dare you use that tone with me. I fought for you damn right and would do the same thing again. There was no way she was taking you away from me she wasn't even your mother and she lied. She is a vulture and a lousy excuse for a parent if you want to know the particulars I'll be happy to share. Excuse me I've had enough of you for this afternoon." With that Elizabeth walked away and the subject was never brought up again.
Elizabeth never spoke to Jason again...their conversation at Penthouse Two before they went to the courthouse was their last.
When she told her older children they are expecting a baby. Mimi hoped for a girl, Cameron wasn't surprised. Jacob and G'Ennis had no opinion but if it makes them happy their happy.
They're currently in Buenos Aires Argentina Astorre is meeting with his pre-production team on a new documentary. With their five year old twins Alessandro Richard and Jeffrey Savin and Camille who accompanied them.. Astorre came to meet with his production team on a new documentary. She spends her days painting and exploring the art world of Argentina with her daughter. Twice a week they spend their nights taking Tango lessons. Afterwards, Cameron, Jacob and G'Ennis will meet up with them in Rio de Janero on Illusion they often travel together.
Yes Elizabeth became pregnant again at forty-three because she developed serious complications her best friend Dr. Kelly Lee flew in to assist she has extensive experience in high risk pregancies. During birth those serious complications manifested.
Dr. Lee used all of her expertise to save her patients lives, "Astorre I will do everything in my power to get them through this."
Astorre held vigil at their bedside so distraught he threatened to have a vasectomy. Their children tried to keep him calm but to no avail after that scare his final decree "we almost lost all three of them, no more children."
However nature called again and at forty seven Elizabeth became pregnant but miscarried in the first trimester. The Marcello family took it as a huge blow and grieved their lost.
Paola is still active in the cinema she won several awards for Reverie she is active in Pierli Vineyards mostly advertising and promoting. Astorre found out reading her diary and writing her memoirs for the film she took on a lover after the sixth year of Alessandro's death the English professor at Oxford who was an editor at Random House. She would later take ill. When she took ill they moved to Piedmont as their primary location.
Signora retired and remains in her Rome Townhouse apartment.
If Elizabeth intended on a settled life in one place so far it hasn't turned out that way they continue a dedication to the worship of the sun and sea. After Argentina they are on their way to Rio de Janiero on a location shoot. Then on to Portugal where they will meet up with the Cassadines.. Astorre and Elizabeth will stay married, for the rest of their lives.
