PDA's worked over time snapping pictures of Elizabeth Webber’s bridal shower. The surprised artist was reduced to tears when fifteen of her closest friends including MaMa Marcello in a Stella McCartney burgundy pants suit surprised her on Cesari’s rooftop; the shower’s theme Girls Night Out is a tradition from the bride’s hometown in Port Charles, New York. Gifts include a year’s supply of butter popcorn and Junior mints a favorite of the bride gifted by sculptress Carly Jacks who looked ravishing in her trademark turquoise, a dress with a royal blue cropped jacket. Her agent Urania Caruba who recently lost 15 pounds looked marvelous and gifted, an easel with brushes and paints. Kate Howard the evening’s lady in red gave a big box full KHO goodies.
And yes Mr. Man errr Marcello made an appearance, after the festivities, they were snapped canoogling and dancing in the moonlight for well over an hour. With Rome’s backdrop he handed her a blue velvet box. Sorry she didn’t open it. Nibbling on her neck he carried her shoes as she walked barefoot holding his arm to an elevator sounds tame? Not for these two...Just before doors closed an eyewitness saw him slam her against the wall yes folks he did it again moving that little black cocktail dress upward the good news ...they got a room. Wedding watch: 2 days hence. ciao Huffington Post Arts and Styles.
Elizabeth and her entourage disembark from the Pierli jet in Florence tomorrow at two thirty they exchange their vows. In pure Astorre fashion there’s someone waiting to transport them to point B. She picks up Jake, “you’re too big for this but I can’t help myself.”
Its funny how things turn out she’s no longer in a snit about this part of “the money” with three children she doesn’t see easy transport as an inconvenience. He called earlier to say “can you keep yourself busy until I can get a hold of you?” She told him her plans for the eve of their wedding, “I’m watching a movie with the kids and Grams then a good night's rest. Marry you, then after that, “I’m all yours.” She figures after the ceremony their salacious publicity will be null and void they can go about the business of living day to day….
"You have a bachelor party planned?" She asked.
Ohh my love I've done my fair share of that there's no need to see some woman I don't know pop out of a cake. A quiet evening here get some work done. Your brother and Felix invited me for a nightcap at the bar then maybe a little telly afterwards."
"Steven and Felix are there?"
"Yes they checked in a little while ago a few of our guests are staying here. I'll call you later when I'm lonely maybe you'll come up to kiss me goodnight."
Her train of thought is broken. "Are you nervous?” Audrey asks as she settles in the limousine, unlike Elizabeth she never had a problem with Gregor's pampering and special attention he's always been considerate of her needs.
“Ask me tomorrow, today I just want this dog and pony show finished; I’m tired of being a current event. I just don’t get why this is so buzz worthy. Astorre suggests I take it in stride its only people who spread gossip for a living not to take it personal, its only business. Right now we’re selling when we no longer sell they’ll move on ... I hope he’s right.”
Elizabeth is curt after coming across a poll the odds aren't in their favor if their marriage will last 43%; it won't 41%. She voted with the 16% that isn't sure. Its not that she doesn’t have faith but she was proof positive that her and Jason would be forever, but it ended and not in a good way, nothing can be taken for granted. She’s going into this one with eyes wide open enjoying happiness while it last because when its over its over.

Well I got a few tweets and emails over the last few days about the wedding so I decided to do my very own recap since I was there this is pretty much an excerpt of my column but I added a few more goodies. The invitation The wording is simple against a backdrop designed by Elizabeth.
The invitation
The wording is simple against a backdrop designed by Elizabeth.
Elizabeth I. Webber and Astorre G. Marcello
Request the pleasure of your company at their marriage.
Two thirty pm
Friday, the twelfth of October, this good year…

Vows were exchanged on a rooftop a favorite place of the couple overlooking a magnificent view. The ceremony was quick and simple. Their daughter Camille requested to be the flower girl sprinkled petals. The bride’s bother Steven Lars Webber gave her away. Cameron was best man and little brother Jacob was ring bearer.
A Mr. Ludo Vitale also stood up for Mr. Marcello. Astorre repeated, “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.” "I want to hang out with you forever,"
Elizabeth had more to say, “Love is patient, its kind and does not envy, it doesn’t boast, it’s not proud. It is not rude, it isn’t self-seeking, or easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, trusts, hopes, and always perseveres it never walks out in defeat. This is what your love has brings to me; I will never walk out on our love story.” Before he kissed her I heard him say, “I’m not lonely anymore.”
The kiss lasted a whopping twelve minutes, almost longer than the ceremony. Both seemed very nervous and fought back tears especially during the exchange of rings. Astorre’s is a duplicate of his father’s wedding band and hers a simple band of gold. There were about 130 guests some were seated outside but seating extended behind them to a glassed in enclosure … it seemed you were outside but you really weren’t but the view was unobstructed. After the clergy pronounced them husband and wife. The guests erupted in applause "bravo, bravo." Paola Marcello was dabbing tears away throughout the entire event.
We were shuttled to the Santa Maria Novella Station and transported by private train to the Marcello hill top residence where more guests joined in the festivities. I can’t say for certain how many but it was several hundred people from what I could tell. My next entry will be more about the reception.
Other news
Our documentary trailer is now in its final stages and hopefully it will be ready to show in a few weeks..I'm not certain about the title at this point since we've changed it twice but one part of it seems to stay constant. "A tale of two portraits."
Georgy Jones' Blog It costs nothing to dream and everything not to.
The reception From Dusk to Dawn Pierli Vineyards October 13th Casale Monferatto, Italy Alessandro Province at Piedmont Black Tie RSVP were designed separately by the artist and plays up to their racy publicity Astorre is standing next to Elizabeth…Ah-hem, shirtless while she is in a vintage wedding dress with flowers in her hair. Under written is a Astorre’s quote from Solomon “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.”
Guests were mailed back where they would be seated which I thought was a nice touch…also guests could find their seats with assistance… by place cards strung from silk ribbons attached to twenty-six crystals chandeliers shaped in letters of the alphabet that were especially hung for the occasion . The clothes For a picture of the bride and groom there is a link at PierliVineyards.com Astorre was dashing in a black suit, white shirt and silver tie while the bride wore a dove gray almost white strapless Katherine Howard with the lightest of purple undertones and details in Chantilly lace. Her “something blue” came in the form of custom made Christian Louboutin heels with painted blue soles.
For a full description and photograph of the lovely dress there is a link to katehowardoriginals.com. Towards the evening Mrs. Marcello changed into a stunning black ruffled cocktail dress. Astorre changed to a white suit with black shirt. For pictures of who wore what visit Pierli vineyards.com As earlier reported the couple requested in lieu of gifts a donation to Smile Train the bride's favorite children's charity. This organization provides cleft lip repairs a problem in developing countries they have 650,000 successful surgeries.
Let the Dance Begin!
As I reported in the Chronicle Port Charles residents were between the Alps and the Mediterranean it was a perfect fall day in north west Italy. We arrived to Monferrato from the Florence rooftop by private train to join waiting guests. There were 25 structures set in the beautiful Pierli vineyards.
The happy couple danced the first few dances, then Astorre danced with his mother Paola and grandmother in law Audrey March, daughter Camille, sister in law Sara Webber and the brides best friends Dr. Robin Scopio, me, Emily Cassdine, Dr. Elaine Winters, Kelly Lee, Cynthia Parrish, Caroline Jacks, Alexis Davis, Rosanna Diggs, Angelique Angelica Diggs.
The bride had a double bouquet one was caught by Cynthia Parrish of Baltimore, Maryland the other by Kate Howard of Paris, France. While the bride danced with her brother Dr. Steven Webber (who gave her away), sons Cameron and Jacob, Prince Nikolas Cassadine, Jasper Jacks, Dillon Quartermaine, Michael Corinthos, Felix Diggs, Robert Wentworth, Cody Paul, Jagger Cates and a bevy of guests including Xavier LaLane and sculptor Carlo DeSoto the couple danced over two hours.
And the Stars were out and shown bright …screen sirens and legends actors cinematographers, producers, actors, too numerous to name, for the complete guest lists there is a link at PierliVineyards.com
And the food was a feast Traditional fare prepared by locals for the full menu go to Pierli Vineyard's website but there was "Dolci" An infinite variety of local favourites including "Bonet" (Chocolate egg custard); "Torta di Nocciola" (Hazel-nut cake); and pears stewed in Barolo wine. And Elizabeth’s American favorites hot apple pie instead of vanilla ice cream they opted for chestnut cream and her children’s favorite Black cow a root beer flavored float. Also included the delicacies, "Tartufi" the legendary white truffles found around the Monferatto in autumn and prized "Grissine" the crisp breadsticks "Amaretti" a delicious macaroon type biscuit.
Let the music play... I expected stuffy classical music but it was varied rock music promoter Giada Ferrari took care of it. It was a delicate balance handled very well. However the highlight of the evening was their daughter Camille playing her spaghetti song when Paola's longtime friend was so impressed he joined in singing his famous love ballad for the bride and groom. It was a special moment. P.S. There were lots of kiddies. The photographer Heveraux uploaded some pictures at his dot.com website you can also check out there who wore what. At dawn, the lovely couple with about a hundred people remaining said their goodbye with a toast to paradise by the bride when it turned into a standing ovation “Thank you,” they said. They departed to an undisclosed location. All in all it was an ambiance of love, romance and old cinema film noir glamor.
There were happenings that didn't make it to Georgy's recap like right before the ceremony Elizabeth gets a call from Port Charles. Its Alan Quartermaine, "Jason was hit in a shoot out in a Rome alley he’s in fair condition but is expected to make a full recovery, I called Skye and Emily but they didn’t pick up."
"They may have turned their cells off the ceremony begins in about fifteen minutes." Elizabeth tells him.
Alan wasn't aware its her wedding day, “In a few weeks he’ll be transported to Port Charles. Elizabeth will you go see him we are on our way but I think it would mean a lot if you…..”
With a vision of the court house in her head she was quick to reply, “I won’t do that he wants no contact with me or the children its my wedding day. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad he’s ok but I have no intentions of disrespecting my husband the man who painstakingly pieced me and the children back together after Jason walked out on us by going to see him while we are celebrating our marriage. Besides he has Samantha its not like he’s alone he has family and Sonny. We are not his family anymore that exclusion is by his choice… I love you Alan and always will but this is best for all of us; I’ll tell Emily and Skye immediately you take good care."
After Emily spoke with his doctor, “he’s not a death’s door, I’m not leaving. Why go there just to watch him sedated he’s comfortable. The medication will keep him under for hours maybe until tomorrow and he'll be incoherent when he comes around. Besides Monica, Tracey, hadn’t left yet so they’re there with Brenda and Sam; father is on his way. Skye? ”
“I’ll go when you go.”
“I’ll swing by before we leave Italy. I asked, no begged Brenda to leave Rome she made one excuse after another this could have been avoided. Its not a neurological wound Patrick isn’t needed he’s in a good hospital under expert care,” says Robin.
It is no mistaking their position on the man that left her with his three children who is in a relationship with a woman that stalked her for years and took great pleasure in doing it.
“Carly?” Asks Emily. Robin, Lainey, Kelly, Lainey, Rosanna, Leticia waits for her answer.
“I’m not going anywhere Sam McCall is. Its her fault that Jax was kidnapped and our Leticia almost died she was all up in that plot.” Carly neglected to mention that before she was double crossed she was Sam’s cash cow to bust up Jason and Elizabeth’s relationship.
"I'll tell Felix," says Rosanna. "I'm sure he'll want to visit while we're here."
"Yeah me too.. ahhhh.., I'll stop by before we go home," says Leticia. Afterall she's known Jason since Michael was a year old he built her a house right between his and Elizabeth's on Corsica for helping out with Jacob and Camille. She must pay her respects he with Elizabeth cared for her during her long recuperation.
Nor did Georgy's blog reveal that Mimi was upset when she learned that the balladeer of the spaghetti song is blind. When she figured out he can't see she started to cry he asked why. "You can't see."
He explained that he's been blind since he was a few years younger than she and that he has other things that make up for it that other people don't have like he can smell better and hear much better. "I have so much to be thankful for." Mimi isn't thoroughly convinced but she did settle down.
Another incident involved Danielle Arpessa who wasn’t invited but accompanied one of Astorre’s business associates hours into the reception she cornered Elizabeth in a showdown. “So, I underestimated you, you smug little bitch," she says indignantly.
Elizabeth didn’t have time to react Carly Jacks just so happen passed by and heard the exchange, “who are you to stand up here and insult the bride on her day you plastic cockroach. Get out!”
Danielle who considers herself the quintessential movie star in a low cut Valentino in fire red, with lipstick and nails to match the only flaw, she overdid the bling, “I don’t know who you are suppose to be but this isn’t your house.”
Just then the svelte ever so elegant Paola de Angelis Pierli Marcello, just like her son, appears out of nowhere, “But its mine, I am relieved Astorre wasn’t fooled he saw right through you from the start and had the good sense to be rid of you. How dare you come here in the first place with this outrageous, malicious, unacceptable behavior....How do you say that American way...that expression? " She looks to the American women.
"Low rent,” says Cy. By then the ladies of Port Charles, and Baltimore, surrounded Danielle, Epiphany gave her the attitude she didn’t have to say a word.
“That’s it, thank you my dear, very low rent to make a scene in Elizabeth’s home with her loved ones present is unspeakable you heard the lady get the fuck out of here.” Paola says, calmly.
Danielle “Well, and to think I once thought you…"
“Cut! Stop the theatrics Danielle remember you’re a poor actress and you've just missed your cue please make your exit before you embarrass yourself any further."
“And you have lipstick on your teeth,” says Kate. Carly says forbiddingly, “Paula I’m sorry. I didn't mean to step out of place its just that...”
“Caroline please do not apologize when there is nothing to be sorry for.”
“You sound so much like your son,” says Leticia “that’s something he would say.” Leticia has always been beholding to the man who literally saved her life to fall in love with Dr. Graham the man who willed her back from a coma.
Paola squeezes Leticia’s hand “maybe it is my son who sounds like me.” Step into my parlor ladies I think this should be our tequila tasting time I’ve taken a fancy to your one shots and your name Paula.”
"You do look like a Paula to us Americans Mrs. Marcello," says Epiphany, "no disrespect just saying."
"Splendid, I have everything we need Nobleza, salt and the lime."
If Elizabeth didn't know better she'd say Paola was downright giddy. Elizabeth standing there speechless finally said, “lets go.’
Concordia Hospital
Via delle 7 Chiese 90
Rome 145 Italy
A few days after the reception, Felix Diggs knocks on the door of Rm 416.
“Come in.”
Jason Morgan who isn’t sitting up yet still doesn’t look good his foot bandaged raised and propped in sling like device. With his shoulder and most of his chest bandaged he looks sort of like a mummy.
“Hey bud who is in the hospital now?” Felix asks he ignores the woman who is instrumental in his brother’s murder she was in cahoots with James Torneau he’ll be damned if he ever speaks to her.
“And with a gunshot wound too,” Felix got shot when he saved his life during the Karpove Tourneau take over. It was his first time he kept saying how it hurts like hell.
“Yeah still hurts like hell." Jason senses Felix is uneasy in Sam’s presence. “Could you ahh..give me some privacy I’d like to visit with my friend.” He knew he’d have to ask her to leave she doesn’t have the finesse to just detach herself from him on her own accord. The clingyness has gotten to him and with this wedding staring him in the face 24/7 he’s short tempered just when Brenda agrees to leave Rome he’s still stuck here he wants to go home now but he can’t.
“Oh sure, I’ll be right outside.”
“Why don’t you go back to the hotel I just want to rest up and you can use some air.”
“Oh ok I’ll see you later.” Sam is in all black she's started dressing like him again. The woman looses her identity.
“Sam make it tomorrow ok I can use some down time.”
“Sure Jason whatever you say.”
When she leaves he says to Felix, “And that’s the problem.”
“What happened?”
“Some guys opened fire when I was transporting Brenda from a fundraiser. Sam surprises us comes from behind a dumpster and starts firing; I’m trying to cover her she gets hyped up and confuses security with the bad guys, misses and shoots me in the foot and shoulder.”
“Tough luck,” says Felix.
“Yeah, so you’re here because of the wedding I read it about it today and it was on the news.”
”With Rosanna and the kids it was a nice ceremony and so was the reception we all had a good time.”
“And Elizabeth?”
“She’s smiling, laughing again even telling jokes she's got a new friend that's a comedian she does stand up. I'd say she’s happy.”
“I didn’t think she’d go through with it.”
“Well she did, Jason she’s changed a lot since Port Charles. Some things are the same but I mean she’s different with him.”
“Yeah that’s what I’ve been hearing; even the kids took to him right away. I wanted to talk with her maybe we could have found our way back again she wouldn't let me near her.”
“Well Jason that's what no contact means.” Felix will never understand what could have prompted a man to disassociate himself from his kids and refuse to have any type of relationship with them but he’s not Jason Morgan a mob enforcer.
“How did you know about that?”
“Well she told us but I was there in the courthouse after you left her. She asked me to get her out of there fast. They stayed with us a few days she was devastated. Rosanna was up with her at night at first she put on a brave face all day for the kids but she cried a lot especially at night. Then we took them to the airport when they left Port Charles.”
“I made a mistake Felix a big mistake; I wanted her to give us another shot.”
“Jason I’m not one to judge but sleeping with the woman she considers an enemy isn’t a way to reconciliation and now with her marriage .. but what do I know. Hey is there anything I can do ... get you something?”
“Yeah there’s this coffee shop right on the corner that sells American coffee could you get me a large. I've got cream sugar here.” He could've asked Sam but that you need me to help you look on her face isn't worth it..
”Will do. Jason, about Elizabeth, you know I thought rebound when I first heard this but I've been in their company a few times and I think she loves the guy so she couldn't be in better hands. The man is crazy about her and your kids she's over the moon about him." He doesn't tell him he had a nightcap with the groom and ex and present brother-in-law Lorenzo Alcazar dropped by no need to kick a man when he's down.
Jason just blinked he couldn't think of anything he hasn't said already. Last night was hard enough for him he watched the same moon she's over, willing her to appear. Its the first time he's ever been hurt that she didn't come to him, well, other than time she left Port Charles. When he first woke up he heard her voice he called out Elizabeth he could smell that scent she wore in Corsica but it was Sam and she didn't smell like vanilla and lavender.
He spent the night after her wedding still groggy from the anesthesia staring at moonbeams like they did together when they were married in Corsica and in the Penthouse....so many nights they moonwatched together. It was her moonbeams and shooting stars period. He smiles remembering times on the Penthouse terrace they'd watch them for hours he with beer and her with a glass of wine. Or in bed when the moon shown through she'd explain the different kinds of rays light.
Now under that same moon in the same city she is with different man she calls husband. He takes another look at her wedding picture kissing Marcello for twelve minutes and the photo on their reception invitation. Marcello standing behind her she's leaning back into him. For almost ten years, Slick refuses Kate a Crimson cover now all of a sudden he does one naked. He knows this is some kind of message, only unlike Franco, he can't quite figure out its meaning. Oh he gets he's reveling that she married him but Marcello isn't that superficial its deeper than this its always something you don't expect he always has a couple of balls in the air waiting to strike. Jason looks at the picture again and smiles at the pun.
“But Emily is right I gave you to him so I can't complain." He says aloud.
Marcello implied if Jason fumbled he'd be there he didn't waste any time getting in good with "their daughter, their sons." Its just he didn't think Elizabeth would be so willing he can't get over she married him the same year of their divorce which he didn't expect so fast. Its apparent she doesn't want him in her life but her reason is she doesn’t love him anymore. Not once did she call or write she never spoke a word at the courthouse she only repeated what he'd said when he showed up on her and Mimi crossing the field, just "there will be no contact. Felix says she's reinvented herself from the devastation he caused now he's left with that pain she carried.
