Wizard World Chicago
Hello all I know I haven’t posted in a while but here’s a test post to make sure I’m doing this right.
Anyway as the title says Wizard World Chicago is coming in August going from Thursday the 19th to Sunday the 22nd. See http://www.wizardworld.com/home-ch.html for more details.
Normally I wouldn’t mention something like this since the last time I went to one was in 2003 and before that was in 2002 and 1998 (the last 2 were graduation presents), and also they’re usually isn’t much to do there. Every time I went to the convention they usually have some low end actors and mostly they just have vendors (which were fine before internet ordering, but now I can get all of the exclusives and what not though the many websites I order toys through so hence no need to go). But this year it looks like they are treating the Chicago one more like the San Diego one with high end guests, gaming room, and movie screenings. The guests this year look really interesting. This year they are going to have William Shatner, Avery Brooks, Walter Koenig, Brent Spiner, John De Lancie, and they were going to get Patrick Stewart but he had to drop out because of scheduling conflict. They will also have Linda Hamilton, Michael Biehn, Adam West, Burt Ward, and James Marsters. There’s more but I can’t name them all. Now normally there would be some guy who played Storm Trooper #5 in Star Wars now we’re getting the guy who played Dr. Carson on Stargate Atlantis. That’s a much better improvement.
Now I just need my mom to get tickets (since I already requested that Saturday off), as this might be the first time I want to go to the Comic Con again.
On another note I saw Bill Maher on Saturday in Waukegan, he’s fricken hilarious and it’s too bad he’s only on cable now.
I’ll post more once I get this one to work.
