Free to a Good Home: One Clint/Kate Plot Bunny...

(note: someone had the bright idea they were going to go update and organize their user pics. This was almost as bad an idea as trying to organize the trick arrows. Turns out? LJ doesn't assign icons to posts based on their (unchanging) html address on the LJ servers. NO, they do it BASED ON THE FRAKKING KEYWORD. Which means that every post I've ever made has just defaulted back to whatever I assigned as my default icon. I just went through and fixed all the secret santa posts by hand, and will probably fix the ones on my fic at awfully_clever at some point, but there's no way to remember what I had on different posts on my journal and I'm not even going to think about the comments. Dammit.)

SO BACK TO MY ORIGINAL POST (before everything went pear-shaped):

I need something new to write right now like I need a hole in my head (no really, the February is for Finishing post for fic is in progress and it's kind of embarrassing and insane how many things I've started or am trying to write. ::facepalm::

But there is a conversation I desperately want Clint and Kate to have. With what I've seen of her so far, I could see her either being polyamorous, or at least knowing quite a bit about it and being open to it, and I'd love to see her sit Clint down and tell him that a. this is a thing, and as long as everyone talks about it and makes agreements and so on, it's ok and b. that she's interested in him and etc.

In other words, the "I'd like to have a relationship with you that doesn't necessarily preclude either of us having a relationship with other people" (which often seems to have been a factor in him self-destructing previous relationships) "and let's at least pretend like we're responsible adults and talk about it."

Cue Clint kind of staring at her like a deer in headlights.

Gah. Ok, that wasn't a very elegant way of explaining it, but does the meaning come across? Yes/yes? :D

hawkeye comic, fanfiction, prompts, clint/kate, lj is made of evil things, writer-y things
