Happy New Year
Today should have been back to work, and I even had some really great lessons planned for my science classes. However, sickness struck! I woke up feeling awful and with a temp of 101.3 I didn't even get out of bed. Just emailed in some lessons and called the sub service. I'm really annoyed that all my lovely plans for this week are now going to be thrown off. Boo! I'm feeling better now, but I'm still really stuffy. Between Bob, Sarah, and I being sick over the last few weeks, we've been going through tissues like mad!
Sarah had a really good day at day care. I was a little worried about how today would go because she was out all of last week and with her being sick, her schedule was all off. But Miss Rosie said that Sarah had an excellent day. So, I was happy to hear that. I wonder if she missed her friends there.
Sarah also had her 15 month check-up today. She is 22.6 lbs and 31.75 inches long. I didn't find out what percentiles those are this time. She was due for some vaccinations, which of course made her cry. Also, since she really isn't talking yet, the doc asked me to call back and check in in 2 months. Her receptive language is very good. She understands a LOT of what we say to her. And she's doing okay with letting us know what she wants and what she recognizes by pointing. But she really isn't talking, at least not with actual words. No mama or dada yet. :(
So, the plan for tonight is to go to bed early and hope to feel better in the morning.
