Ugh... still ill...
Just got back from the Doctor's surgery.
I've been given more antibiotics. Hopefully, they'll finally manage to get rid of this chest infection once and for all. It's been making my life a misery for several weeks now and I'm bloody sick of it.
I've had to call in sick to work, a decision I made based on medical advice. I was at work last night, but it was pretty rough on me, it seemed to just aggravate my condition. The advice I was given was that if work is aggravating this thing, then it's just going to slow down me getting better. So I've been advised to take it day by day, see how I feel, and if it gets to the point where I need a doctor's certificate, they will happily give me one.
I would have had to take the night off work anyway, because I need to head to the hospital to get a chest x-ray. I guess when you've had a chest infection for several weeks that 2 courses of antibiotics have failed to deal with completely, they want to make sure there's not anything serious going on in there...
So I'll be off out again soon, once I've had a bit of a rest. And it seems I'll be spending probably at least the next few days at home resting, which is probably for the best...
