An unexpected weekend...
This weekend did not turn out as expected. But in a good way.
It started friday night, when CJ revealed he had got hold of some free tickets at the last minute to the First Emperor exhibition at the British Museum in London on saturday afternoon. So we decided to meet up in London.
Things didn't go as we had planned. I got there late. But due to hugs traffic problems on his way to London, my poor CJ was even later...
However, eventually, he did make it, and we went and had a quick bite to eat before going along to the museum. The museum people were very understanding of how late we were and we were able to go in despite being it being a few hours later than the time on the tickets.
It was a good exhibition about ancient China and the famous terracotta army, including some of the terracotta figures themselves, all the way from China, which were rather impressive. All in all, it was well worth taking a look at, especially since the tickets didn't cost us anything.
After the exhibition we went and relaxed in a good coffee shop, with some lovely coffee and a bit of cake. Which was very nice. :)
We decided to head home after that, so came back to my place for some more relaxing and cuddling. And we were able to watch the new Doctor Who (which I had recorded), and that was good and fun.
Unfortunately, CJ had to head home earlier today. But it was great seeing him again, especially as it was so unexpected. And now it's just another few weeks until we get together again to celebrate our 2 year anniversary! I'm looking forward to it... :)
