Remembering the good things. :)
After a really hard night with little to no sleep, I finally konked out at about 3am in a really hard sleep. One unlike any I've had here since I came, or any I've had since I left Arizona. Apparently they attempted to wake me 3 times and I don't even remember anyone coming into my room.
I felt bad about that because I was actually going to go to church with them this weekend, cause they've been asking me to for a month. So when I woke up at 10:30 to find they were already there, I knew they'd be mad with me when they got home, and they were. Almost as soon as they walked in the door they got ready to leave to go to the local bar to watch the Packer game that was not on regular TV. I told them that I'd get dressed and meet them up there and that made them happy.
It is a nice place. A little local bar on one of the several lakes here in Hot Springs Village with a nice burger menu and good fries and of course Miller on tap. :D I sat there with them, surrounded by people over 40 years older than myself, watching the game, wanting to leave and come home, wishing I knew more people of my own age here... when it happened.
On the TV flashed a screen full of Minnesota Viking butts in tight spandex. My mind went blank and I wished the bar had TiVo to pause that moment to just sit there and soak the well rounded shapes covered in tight material. Even though I couldn't I knew that today would be a better day.
