my insane birds.
my dad went to the pet sore on the weekend and a nice lady loaded him up with free goodies for my little lovebird. phoebe however does not like change and hates new things put in her cage. this does not deter us from trying so we put a honey stick in her cage. (it is seeds glued onto a wooden stick with honey). phoebe hits it a few times to show it who's boss then ignores it for days. i take the second one and put it in astas cage last night. asta loves new things and crawls over to it and starts to munch away. this is the point where phoebe suddenly thinks "hey, whats that?! it looks good! i want it!" phoebe starts to crawl around the outside of astas cage trying to stick her head between the bars in order to get a bit of the honey stick. i explain to her that she has her very own treat hanging in her cage but nooooo.... that one isnt good enough, she needs the one asta is chowing down on. i had to lock them both up...... before phoebe annoyed asta too much. they are like little 2 year olds.
