The spreading of industrial.
It occured to me on Saturday night, while drinking some beer called Nickelbrook (don't ask), that there is a conflict with introducing music to others and the ensuing piracy. Example, my friend asked me for some bands to listen to so he can download the songs. Herein lies the problem:
If I suggest bands to him, then he will pirate the songs happily and the bands get nothing. On the other hand, most industrial bands are quite obscure and could use an increased fan base to up the cd sales. See where this is going? So here I sit wondering if I should burn him a mixed cd of my personal favorites (as a sampler) or if I should just leave well enough alone.
