Final Days...
My G'ma is back in the hospital. I found out yesterday that her pneumonia is really bad now. She went into the hospital with choking problems and they were considering installing a feeding tube in her so she could eat. After doing a blood test they discovered that she doesn’t have any white blood cells. This is a sign that her body is trying to die. So, no feeding tube and no antibiotics. She is now on a program they call “Comfort Care” which means they will continue to do what they can to make her comfortable. They will also give her pain meds to keep her relaxed. They will do all this until she passes away. Her doctor seems to think it will be in a couple of days.
Sunday will be her birthday. She always loved it when her birthday landed on Mother’s Day. Thanks to all of you for your support. I know she is scared so if you could pray for her I would really appreciate it.
I am doing my best to hang in there. I will be at the hospital with my Mom till G'ma passes.
