Visit to a musical land (RL with Kurt Hummel)

Dec 28, 2010 17:09

Edward arrived in Kurt's world, looking about with confusion. He'd never taken Naoto's device and hopped to  another world, just his own and he found it slightly disorienting. Where he visited Chase at a hospital, and Naoto always took him home, this time he wound up in a city, an unfamiliar one at that. It seemed a bigger than the one he'd gone to ( Read more... )

[Kurt was always a punctual guy, and he arrived to the intersection in no time. It was easy to recognize Ed, even if he was dressed casually. Kurt was wearing his blue coat and a long striped scarf, glad that he could use different clothes now that he was not in Dalton's academy.]

Hello Edward, it's nice to meet you in person.

Hi. [Ed said with a cheerful smile and offered his hand politely.] Yeah it's nice to meet you and to come to your world. Busy as it is. I've been watching the cars go by...there were quite a lot.

[Kurt shake it. He is not used to people offering him their hand, he is usually the one who introduces himself. Before Dalton Academy, not many guy were willing to touch him, scare that they would 'catch the gay', or something just as idiotic.] The cars? Yeah cities in America are like this, everyone is always in a hurry. We can go to a more peaceful place if you want

[The way Blaine explains it, Ed is certain it can't be caught anyway.] Yeah that might be good. [He smiles and stands up straight, looking around a little.]

Lead the way! [Another place where he stood out, much like he did in Amestris. Then again anyone who looked slightly different stood out in Amestris.] What kind of place is this? Is it like Naoto's? Modern and the like? It must be relatively so, I mean you have a ton of cars.

There's a huge park at the end of the street, it's quiet. [Kurt stalk to walk in the direction he mentioned. He visited Naoto's world once, at least he knew what was Ed talking about.] Yes, similar to hers. tons of vehicles, technology, and not enough green around.

Yeah I noticed that too actually, is everywhere anti-green like this? Mello...he took me to New York City once and there was like, buildings everywhere and nothing was green except that one park and I asked him why they built a park there if it was clearly in the middle of the urban sprawl, I mean, in Central they don't really do that, at least none I've noticed, but anyway, he asked me about the air quality and I was like oh yeah, I guess I get that so, you know...

[Edward is easily excited and engaged when he's in a new place...sorry Kurt.]

Bigger it gets, less green you see. Tragic, I know, but civilization is uncivilized that way. You are talking about Central park, it's really famous.

[Kurt doesn't mind. It's quite refreshing after meeting the boys of the Dalton's academy. They're nice, but too serious sometimes.]

Hmmm I don't know what I think about that actually. [Ed seems to be pondering it at least, because he does that.]

Then again I guess, I think Risembool is too green because there's nothing there but a few houses, cows, sheep and a hell of a lot of grass and then the mountains. That's where we grew up anyway. [He blinks.] It's famous? Really? Cool!

[Ed gives a bright grin.] Really want to go back someday but, I don't know how I'd feel about it a-after losing him and everything and also, Naoto is smaller than me and I just find some of these places too big, but this place isn't bad. I'm sure I'd look a lot stranger grabbing onto her arm then I did Mello's. Or maybe not.

Except when I go back, I don't want it to be a surprise. I was seriously speechless when he brought us in the middle of that city and it was like...holy crap!

We have places like that, but all of them are far away from the big cities. And we have cows, of course. [Kurt snickered at Ed, he knew that the other boy hated milk.]

I would like to see your world one day, you got me curious. [Kurt blinked.] Losing him?I can't blame you for being that surprised, even I am surprised when I go to really big cities. that's why I can't wait to visit New York. But that will only happen if our Glee Club wins regionals.

[Ed makes a face at the mention of their cows and he sighs.] Yeah, we don't have a lot of big cities at home, we're still underdeveloped and further into the past then here. It's only 1916 there now. Our technology has evolved differently because of our continuous use of Alchemy.

[Ed pauses at that and looks away.] One day...yeah, I'd like to take you one day for sure. Not just you, others...but I...[He sighs.] Not for awhile. When everything is all said and done and the Promised Day is over, then you can come visit. We're hoping we can make it peaceful.

Yes, Mello died sometime ago. I erected a grave for him in Risembool. There is someone just like him on the community, but he doesn't remember us. I've been to the big cities in Amestris, but they're a lot like the small cities in other worlds, so...these places are really, really amazing.

omg I never got this notifs >_< notasinglelady January 14 2011, 03:03:13 UTC
[Kurt resisted the urge to laugh at him, that wasn't not nice and Edward was a guest here.] You know, sometimes the things I see from your world, specially the stuff Winry builds, seems more developed that what we have here. Specially the prosthesis, and that wasn't because of your use of Alchemy. It's implosive too.

[he didn't knew much about Ed world when it came to politics, but he was aware of the war going on. The last thing he wanted was to stress his friend more.] It's all right, there's no rush.

And I'm sorry, I didn't knew about Mello.

LOL I wondered. :D cyberelric January 14 2011, 04:54:13 UTC

[Kurt has been laughed at often, he's not going to do that to people ...people he likes, that is it..]

[Kurt listens, payign attention but at the same time changing directions a few times so they arrive to the park without being hit by a car.] A war that lasted more than 300 years? That's insane, how can the people live at all?

It sounds like Amestris is some sort of giant continent made form different countries rather than a single country itself.

[Even if he knows, that doesn't make it 'okay'.]I know it is but..

It's not the same war, it's one war after the other. We're in a time of peace, sort of but we've only been at peace for...[Ed exhales, thinking about it.] Less than ten years. Not even, the South is under attack, so soon enough that will be a full-scale conflict.

Amestris is not that big, only fifty million people. And I've traveled much of it extensively. At least to the south and the east, but a little in the north too.

Ishbal is the war I remember. I was a kid when it came to my hometown. We're the last stop on the train route, before Ishbal so soldiers were there a lot, and even one night the train station was attacked. Before then we were peaceful with our Ishbalan neighbours, we even had a small church of sorts there, but that's long gone because no one wants to be practicing that religion with our military around. [Ed shakes his head a little.] Damn military. I hate it.

Even if it's not the same, sounds like you barely had time to get over the last one and you are already in a new war. People never learn or what?

Ah well..small continent, but my point still stands. [And they finally arrived to the park. There's children laughing and playing around, their parents watching them, but it's mostly peaceful.]..I can't blame you.

[Ed smiles.] Sure you can, people feel like I do, then again, I work for them. Well, sort of. I tried to quit but...[He shrugs.] I was told not to, or else.

[He looks around and grins.] This place is really nice! [The kids running around are cute.] Much better then the middle of the city.
