With a brand new coat on his shoulders and winter gloves, as well as a scarf around his neck, going outside seems like nothing at all, and while Edward would like to avoid it for sometime considering his adventures in the snow the week before, Winry requested they go outside together which, he really couldn't say no to if he tried anyway

Winry hurried down the hall, tugging her gloves on as she ran. She couldn't believe she'd convinced Ed to go outside and play in the snow. It was deeper than she'd ever seen before, and she wanted to do something they hadn't done since they were kids.

"Ed!" She grinned, seeing him. "Are you ready?" It was a silly question, but she couldn't help but ask it.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm ready." Ed smiled a bit and shrugged. Whatever she wanted, sure.

"Come on, then! It's beautiful out there!" Winry caught his hand, giving it a tug.

He nodded and headed out back with her, pausing to shut the door and stick his free hand in his pocket. "Alright. You just want to walk or whatever?" Who knew what Winry was up to, really.

Winry broke through the crust of fresh snow eagerly, letting Ed follow behind in her trail. "I just want to play." She turned around, grabbing Ed's hand with both of hers and walking backwards.

"To play...alright." Edward said with a soft smile. "What do you want to play?" He squeezed her hands because since she was holding them, she probably wouldn't mind.

"Mm." She squeezed his hand back. "Let's walk a little first and then..." Then, she hoped she could surprise Ed with a sneak snowball attack. "We'll see!"

"Sure." Ed snickered. "But you know, walking backwards like that, you're a little vulnerable."

A gentle shove and letting go of her hands, oh look there's a snowbank there!

[hands4healing]

Her eyes opened wide as Winry fell backward into the snowbank, disappearing into the drift. For a few seconds, all she could see was an expanse of white above her. Everything seemed hushed, though there was a faint squeak of the weight of her body making the snow beneath her settle.

"Ed!" She flailed her arms and legs, trying to dig herself out of the snow. "You jerk!"

He giggled and offered a hand to help her up. "You wanted to play!"

Her glare probably looked silly, what with the snow coating her hair and sticking to her cheeks. "Yeah, but - !" Slapping her hand into his, she let him haul her out of the drift.

Ed smiled and tugged her to her feet, his other hand coming to brush the snow off her hair and kiss her forehead. She looked cute covered in snow.

Winry dumped a handful of snow down the front of Ed's shirt.

"Eek!" Ed screeched rather like a girl and tugged at his shirt. "Fuck that's cold!"

Laughing, Winry ran, more like floundering through the snow.

Oh this was so on. She had made him scream like a girl and that was not forgivable! Edward crouched down and grabbed a handful of snow, padding it as he chased after her and threw it!
