Postwhoring and Camwhoring, oh my!

Seriously last post for an hour or two at least. XP

As some of you were aware off, I was in a fashion parade last month @ Wai-Con, while I did have pictures from Wai-Con, I never got any pictures of the actual fashion show because instead of taking pictures I was modelling. However I've gotten in contact with Skye, the organiser of the J-Fashion panel and I have photos of myself, Skye and the other 6 models who participated in the fashion parade.

For those who missed out, it was a difficult experience, as the projector was broken for a long time and it was the first time I had performed solo in front of such a decent sized crowd. The event went very well and Skye and Steph were absolute experts in delivering their speech in regards to all the different styles of Japanese fashion, I have quite an interest in this area and learnt a lot and was definitely very entertained by their presentation.

Skye and Steph were the most perfect people to deliver this speech as they organise lots of lolita events around Perth and have a Lolita club in Perth actually which I was totally unaware off since I thought was non-existant until I had heard their presentation. As for the rest of Wai-Con, it was a very interesting two day event and you can find details about what Saturday and Sunday is like on the links. ^^

While I pretty much felt like I screwed up, didn't come anywhere near to the out there looks of some of the more full on stereotype of the J-Cyber fashion, they thought I did a decent enough job and I have been invited back to model in January 2009 for the next Wai-Con, which I hope more people will come and support me. For those who missed out, check behind the cut for pics.

This was where the J-Fashion Panel was held, this room was at least half filled (with two more rows behind the camera)

All of the models (I'm in a horrible pose on the far left)

Close up of a couple of the models

Jovanna, Punk Lolita

Jill, Classic Lolita

Clara, Gyaru, in short, a mix of prep, hawaiian beach culture and Japanese pop culture

Sanyu, Sweet Lolita

Steph, One of the presenters

Sanyu and Skye (the organiser of the J-Fashion Panel)

Me! Demonstrating (J-)Cyber (note: this is very different from the european style and goth raver style we get here)

All the Lolitas @ Wai-Con (not all the above were featured in the fashion parade)

Hope to see you all @ Wai-Con 2009!
