The dream must come to an end.......

I was planning to write a 2007 wrap up earlier last week, since I honestly thought that I was ready to wrap up a pretty interesting year that has come to a close, I’m glad I didn’t as this weekend proved to be one of the most exciting, fun, upsetting, dramatic, enjoyable and fucked up weekends I’ve had for quite some time.  What was going to be the longest lj post I've ever written has been split up into a multiple part epic and has literally taken many days, hours, emotions and brainstrain to get this down here and it's still far from over.......

The lead up to the events started off the previous weekend where Amanda had her first half pill and I had my first half pill in well over 8 months now, unfortunately this did shit all to me due to my low energy levels even with lots of Red Bull and guarana pills, I felt weak.  Amanda was absolutely loving it and we met a pretty horrid fellow named Josh who wouldn't stop going on about the most ridiculous shit about his life despite in my honest opinion the fact that he'd been in so many fights which he didn't have to be in just screamed ridiculously uneccessary machoism.  Amanda listened into him and had a nice conversation with him and asked for our phone numbers and unfortunately he bothered to message Amanda after we left early.  Me and Amanda sort of tried having sex despite me failing after 5 minutes from tiredness and not really getting far but it was amazing on pills though.  The recovery session the next day certainly was lovely and meant a lot in regards to how much this girl means to me.

Thursday and I managed to squeeze in some last minute Christmas shopping with Amanda, Janine, Abe and Amy which was a bit enjoyable despite the frustration of a lot of failing for presents which was well sorted out the next day with the majority of it having been done then or on this day now.  Amanda also informs me the ridiculous news that despite promising me for months that she would come to Wai-Con with me she has decided to pull out, I'm not too terribly impressed to be honest, especially since she has chosen to give it up to the Rise out of all places, *slaps*.

Despite all this, work came this week and it was a bit of a difficult week but I was very excited despite having an average time @ Insomniac I ended up getting really pumped for Wai-Con the anime convention coming up, especially more when I scored a job as a model for the J-Fashion parade and even better, I got the job to do cyber fashion, modelling my favourite type of fashion in front of an interested audience, this was a huge ego boost.  Once the cockiness kicked in, I realised that I was somewhat doomed however.  This wasn't a job as simple as I thought, we had to supply our own outfits which I thought was easy until I found out that what I had in mind wasn't what they wanted, it had to look a lot more like something DJ Sisen or the Japanese cyber scene would pull off, while the european scene is mostly about painting colour on a black canvas, the Japanese scene is all about pulling off lots of colour with the fashion much like Sisen and Ayumi as pictured behind the cut.

And I gave it my shot and the results, well thanks to everybody who supported me.......... Nobody came and took pics, thanks.......  I had falls and did a pretty solid job too in regards to pulling off a really colourful and whacked out Japanese Cyber outfit with hair falls, platform boots, shiny clothing and lots of toys too, so thanks to all those who promised to come with me and piking at the last minute now you have to imagine it, thanks to all those who promised to come with me and chose to back out at the last minute for no reason, thanks, seriously. I know some people had a few decent excuses in regards to those who promised me but the rest, so disappointed, seriously.

Mega thanks to Mitch, Cat and Kerry-Anne for actually bothering to come see me though and more on my wonderful day with them in the next post.  :)

ps. Japan > Rest of the world (especially in fashion ^^)
