Into the darkness..... and loving it
Geez, a whole week without updating in here, wowzers, how on earth did I manage to do that? Anyways, it was quite easy, been working a lot, honestly, too much, I'm getting closer to working 20 days/nights without a day off, while I can't complain about the money, it's taking quite a bit of hours to get it and a considerable portion of that pay goes straight to petrol, although I get bonuses to make up for it, take that out of the picture, it's ridiculously low pay. Next year, I'm looking at getting a new job, as for education, I really can't see myself finishing school, after the last 3 times, it's just not something I really can do until I find something I love.
The decision to try to change my work next year was also inspired by Saturday night, I'll go into details a little bit later, but working on Saturday night then having to work the next morning and later that night, isn't a lot of fun, which certainly has been holding back my social life a bit. Despite that, had fun at Tormsen's party, first time really drunk in over a month, around some of my favourite and closest friends, knightmerz, tormsen, dj_infinity and melancholyhart, also it was good to catch up with friends I hadn't seen in a long time too. Can't say it was the best night out for me, but it certainly was one of the best ones I've had so far (and you'd hope so considering that these circumstances don't come by often). First time I'd been drunk in a month? Yeah, I know, I honestly didn't think I was able to cut down on my substance and alcohol usage that much, but I surprised myself there. Instead of adding the usual I'm turning straight edge and better then you all, I honestly don't think that it really has made me significantly better off, as that's just one part to my life, since my diet is attrocious and my life and emotions still a mess.
Other highlights, hung out with some of knightmerz's friends the next night, although I tend to bring people down when I'm too sleep deprived and overworked, so blah, disappointed I was being mean to everyone, but have slept much recently to get sanity and niceness back. Other random events included those random 'evanescence poser-esque goths' saying hi to me at work, seems my suburb is not as boring as I first thought although work is starting to make me hate it. Bought some really cute badges from Beyond The Trapdoor, any store that plays Covenant definitely deserves a mention on here! Realised how cool it was that melancholyhart listens to quite a few bands I like that few people have heard off, awes. Best highlight, knightmerz going up to me pointing out to dj_infinity asking me if that's the guy I'm working for, only for him to have him running around in a pink hat, demolishing little houses (insert lame joke about Infinity's hate for house music) in a kindergarden and attacking his djing partner with the walls of the houses he'd destroyed, rave promotors are awful when they're drunk, I've experienced it a fair bit, oh dear god...........
Hoping for some changes in my life, work is bringing my mood down considerably, I'll see if I can make up for it with various purchases next year once I get my quasi-evil debit card (a credit card linked to a bank account, so you can't get into debt plus no fees) which opens up the world of internet shopping to me. Seeing my social life going in a positive direction now, even after India and Meaghan recently, so thanks a lot to knightmerz who is able to put up with my ludicrious working times.
Rest of the week, hoping to get my digital camera back, getting the latest Next Generation, Blatant Beats CD thanks to Olly and Russell, also hoping to get an update to my user info page sometime before this month ends, but I'm not promising anything on that, but I'm going to attempt to make it interesting and a bit different to last time.
