ENGAGED
Holy crap. I'm engaged.
So i figure that I should write out what happend in my mind before it becomes consumed with other things... and I cant remember the little details. The details were the best part.
So last night was Nathan's senior recital and (holy goodness my ring is shiny... distracted... ) oh sorry. So it was his recital, and his relatives came from out of town to see it, Aunt Kris and Uncle Tom, his mom and Dad and Seth- were all there. He sang beautifully... absolutely beautifully. Every note was right on, and I was SOOOO proud of him. I was just sitting in my seat beaming. Afterwards, there's supposed to be a reception in the hall next to the auditorium. I gave him this little bag with an opera book, godiva chocolates and a gift card in it :) and I thought my gifts were pretty appropriate. (omg I'm looking at my ring again... Cirena... stop that). So he tells me that he has a gift for me too! What's this... a gift for Cirena? I really thought that he was going to sit me down and sing to me- but no, he gets down on one knee, in front of everyone (out of the corner of my eye, I see Deidra jumping up and down), and brings out this little black box. I started crying (of course) and saying, are you serious? are you serious? and crying some more... and he opened up the box and goes, "IT;s EARRINGS!" and I started laughing, called him a nerd and pushed him on his butt. lol. And everyone had stopped what they were doing and looked at us, and I said "its okay, you can go back to eatting, it's just earrings!" lol. So I started to walk away, and he grabbed my arm and said, ooookay, "what about this this one?" And brought out this bigger box... and I started crying again, and it was a very large, very shiny ring.... and he asked me to marry him... and I think I said yes? There was a lot of nodding. lol. And I it was all like a blur really... It seemed to go by in five minutes... Apparently I made a few phone calls and I dont remember any of them, LOL. Lots of hugs and congratulations. I think Andrea Enke took pictures. :) so I'll have to see those. OH and Matt came up and hugged me and was talking about how he had the ring in his pocket all night- "dee dee dee, I have your ring in my pocket..." lol. and Nathan asked me where I thought he got the ring from, and we opened up the box to look and Seth goes... "HE WENT TO JARED." LOL!!! He was such a goofball all night. Nathan called and told Emilie, who yelled 'holy Sh*t' really loudly on speaker phone. lol. There was lot of excitement and crying and now I'm going to go have breakfast with my fiancee!!!!
