Yesterday was pretty uneventful. I got up, did a little jogging, went to work and finished up all of my stuff there. Once that was done I was talking to Steve and told him I needed to do some souvenir shopping and if he could give me some help it would be appreciated. They found a woman who works there and had her take me around to the mall so I could buy some stuff. After that I went back to the office and hung out for a little while, and then as soon as 8pm rolled around I went downstairs and hopped into a cab to take me to the airport. Just around that time it started really raining and thundering outside, it was pretty cool.
At the airport I did all the usual stuff, grabbed a sandwich from Subway, bought some Cuban cigars (for Kyle) and then eventually got on the flight. For the in-flight food I had a caesar salad topped with roast duck, a small beef steak, a bowl of cereal, fresh fruit, and chicken with alfredo sauce, portabello mushrooms, hash browns, and a roasted tomato.
The flight went a little fast and I got into LA at 7:30. My bag came off pretty quickly and I didn't have any trouble at customs. The ride home took about 2 hours and I had the same guy that drove me to the airport a week ago!
As soon as I got home I almost immediately crashed!! I slept from 10pm until almost 2pm the next day!! Today the plan was just to go downtown and pick up my race # for the marathon tomorrow, eat some food, and then maybe clean house and do some stretches. Unfortunately I had a surprise when I went out to get in my car. It wouldn't start! Battery was dead! :( I'm guessing some stupid light or the iPod charger or something made it drain after a week. I'll have to invest in a trickle charger or a jumper-battery thing or something if I'm going to be gone for more than a few days.
Once the car was going I went down and got my number and everything (traffic was horrible), and then ate some delicious carbs with Jennifer. When I got home I started putting together the new computer (parts arrived on Thursday!). Its almost done, but I am missing a couple things before it will be 100% (some fans and a couple cables, will be here on Tuesday). I'm happy that I'll get that replaced, its bugged me for about a year. :P
Well, now I'm going to try to get some sleep. I have to get up by 4am so I can take a shower and drive down to the finish line, where a shuttle will take me to the starting line.
If anyone wants to track me online, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to by going here:
http://www.rnrmarathon.com/home.html and then putting my race number in. My race # is: 19450. Again, my goal finish time is 5 hours and 30 minutes (actually, 5 hours, 29 minutes, to beat Katie Holmes!), but I really don't know if I'll finish by then because I havn't been up on my training these last few weeks and I'll still be very jet lagged. The race starts at 6:30, but I probably wont cross the starting line until 6:45, due to the way they start people in bunches.
ANYWAYS... Time for bed :)
