my mom, lol -
I got my mom a fancy digital picture frame for christmas. I just spent WAY too much time loading a memory stick with pictures. I even scanned in some old old ones and put them in there, too. She is going to be VERY happy. What she doesn't know is that pretty soon she is going to be getting similar discs from her other five kids. I asked them all to start working on them about a month ago, and I think they are about ready. She is really going to like this. In fact, she just bought herself a laptop, got comcast internet, and set up her own wireless. Hello? My mom is seven months away from being 80 years old.
She got me a sewing machine for Christmas, did I tell you this? So I have been busy taking the kids more tactile and fabulous old clothes and cutting them up in to squares. I am going to make an amazing quilt or die trying. Or is that dye trying? (see what I did there?)
I am also enrolled in school again this quarter. I'm just taking two classes, both on line. It feels slightly ghetto, but I don't really care. I am learning new things, and that is my basic goal right now.
So between raising these three amazing kids (four on the weekends!) and working full time plus, and taking ten credits, and learning how to make a quilt, and taking care of this house, and trying to stay current with television and still reading a book a week and blah blah blah, I am busy as heck. JUST the way I want it. I don't get a ton of sleep, but it is all good.
Next up, I am going to get this house modified a little if I can figure out how to pay for it. I want to bump out the kitchen and dining room which will give me room for a den and a bigger kitchen. I want an all new NICE kitchen because this beige nonsense has finally taken its toll. i am obsessed with hating my kitchen. I keep imagining the fridge is making sounds I don't like, and the door on the oven is crooked. Crazy stuff. But you know, it is either change this house and make it what I want, or we will just have to move. The kids don't want to move, so there you go.
We are going to Disneyland the first week of April. I have never been there. I am pretty excited. I guess the kids are, too?
Is it obvious I am a little manic right now?
