No, seriously, WTF. Apparently Omar has been engaged ALL THIS TIME. I asked him when he was planning on telling me, and he figured he'd just tell me when everything was said and done. That and apparently the REASON he got engaged, which was because he knocked up a married woman. I'm glad to see Iran has moved on from stoning the woman and whipping the guy to sticking the guy into an arranged marriage. At least the woman was okay. Even if it's likely Omar has a KID which I am NOT THINKING ABOUT. It's funny how that's easier when this is all happening several thousand miles away.
Oh, and his mother walked in on us in bed. She told the landlord it was an emergency and he let her in and then she started making this huge fuss. Apparently she thinks I'm a whore, which is just awesome. I almost walked across the room naked, just to piss her off more, but I'm not really that kind of person.
I don't know if I'm angry or not. I feel like it should bother me more, but it doesn't. Maybe it's because it's obvious he doesn't care about the girl he was engaged to; I mean, he broke things off with her which is why his mother turned up in the first place. I AM hurt that he didn't think he could tell me sooner, but part of me could see how that kind of thing could just keep going. He apologized, repeatedly, and supposedly told me everything that could possibly be sketchy. I don't know. I just don't know.
