So, my old boss in duplication recommended me for some freelance work for an internet auction business. Which is cool, I could use the experience for my portfolio and the money to boot. They want to make a DVD for sales pitches and want to throw on some interviews with their moneymakers and some power point slides, etc. Basic stuff. They want to get it out by early to mid summer, which also gives us plenty of time to do it.
The question for me is, how much do I charge them? I mean, I could do everything they need, or i could just shoot, edit and author their DVD. Should I charge em by the hour or by the project? I'm thinking in the neighborhood of $350.00 for the whole project. Is that low balling it or is it too much?
