Okay, so. Insert spazzing here. Because Code Geass. Final episode. :D
Okay, so. CC doesn't die. That one... Okay, why doesn't she die? That's been like, her entire goal the whole series. Because there wasn't enough time for a drawn out scene with sad music playing? Or did they just run out of sad music? But whatever, I can accept that she doesn't die. Go... find someone with out ambition, CC. So you can give a geass to them and have the rest of the world relatively unaffected.
But ;_; ROLO DIED AND THAT BASTARD OUGI LIVED??? WHYYYYYYYY?
>_> *coughs*
Anyway, moving away from episode nineteen and back to THIS episode...
Ahahahaha Sulu. That was definitely a very Suzaku/Lelouch moment. I kind of had to wonder what anyone who could see the scene was thinking, XD. Of course, said wondering came long after the ;_; *heartbreak* *bawl* had finished with. Or, mostly subsided.
Actually, I had a delayed reaction. I was halfway through watching the first part of the episode again when it actually hit me. >_>
I like the ending how it is. I won't completely discredit the theory that Lelouch is still alive, because it's POSSIBLE, I guess. But, I think that really takes away from the emotional power of the ending. I think that one of the best parts of the ending is Lelouch making that decision, to sacrifice himself for the betterment of the world. And being willing to die for that cause.
And ah, with the whole Lelouch-is-alive theory, people seem to be taking it from at the end, where CC was talking to the air and then addressed Lulu. But um... Clovis, guys? We can in fact talk to dead people in CG-verse. And Kallen did the EXACT SAME THING. She talks as if she's talking to Lelouch. So it's weak evidence, at best.
*shrugs*
I think that... The ending doesn't seem exactly real? The epilogue doesn't seem to have the same... flow... as the rest of the series. A little too much "everyone is happy now, yay!" Well, everyone but Nunnally and Suzaku. :( I kind of feel really bad for Suzaku for having to take up that mantle. But then, "Suzaku Kururugi" is dead. So, in a way, Suzaku is Zero, because he doesn't have another identity that the public can see.
Along that vein, I reaaaaally want to see Zero!Suzaku fic. I think there's something incredibly interesting about that part of the ending.
So... I'm pretty satisfied. It feels kind of... a little bit open? Which makes me happy, because I always like it when there's still something left for me to think about. When a series has a very complete ending, I like it, but I tend to lose interest in it a little bit faster, because there's not really anything more after that. So I think that for me, this is the best sort of ending.
Although I'm still irritated that Ougi's still alive, the bastard. *sigh*
animegirl07 is probably sky high about that. Because now her Ougiletta is canon.
And I just had the horrible thought that if I don't make a FD, that would be the perfect PF for me. *shudders* Please no. *resolves to not ever fail again*
Now I will go listen to cheesy nineties boyband music to cheer myself up. We're ignoring that the album is "millenium" because shutup. They're still a nineties boyband.
